I would love nothing more than to share my thoughts and feelings and comments generated today towards our local El Poco Loco Mexican style chicken marinaded and rosted on a open flame for a wonderful perfect South of the border flavor that makes your mouth water just thinking about it. Waiting for the flavor to hit your long awaited taste buds. So tonight I ordered a 12 piece leg and thigh, drove home home with it from Riverdale to my place in Ogden about 4 miles away. There's always a wonderful smell and aroma that fills my car and yes sir I absolutely sneek a piece. But tonight I was served some of the most plane tasting nasty dry chicken that I feel in my professional chicken eaten opinion was cooked yesterday or very early in the morning. It absolutely has just about zero marinade flavor that they normally serve me... normally the chicken is extremely hot with tons of good hardy Mexican flavors. I mean I have eaten this style chicken since I was raised in Tucson Airazona since 1963. I am so disappointed so upset 😡 inside. I remember after the first bite that it's Luke warm then no great awesome fantastic flavor. Nope none of that, This is why I am so sad and I feel so cheated by the manager of the store alone with the employees working tonight. My review is basically on them and there poor decision making skills to serve such total and uter disappointing chicken in my opinion. Why would you even think that that is a good idea, it makes no sense to me what management was thinking. What are they going to do replace the chicken with something cooked correctly and hot. It's not good enough to me. That's not doing me any favors or making it right. The time I took the gas I used the wear and tear on my car. Sounds a little bit silly but my time is worth a great deal to me. I could have been home with my family. Think about it all. They are going to get away with it for the most part because a lot of people are just going to trash it and forget it. What about the time I am spending writing my second review ever. Plus the time it's going to take to drive down off of Riverdale Rd. Hopefully I won't get into a car accident while trying for some stupid reason to get my replacement chicken. From a place that would sale that low quality stuff in the first place. I am beside myself. OK I am sorry for talking about it for so long. God bless LOL I wish I had better grammar and I could read and write perfect English so I would have the ability to express myself in a perfect...

When we were ordering our food, there were some miscommunications. They put that we wanted a large corn side instead of a roasted corn pollo bowl. On the order, they put an original pollo bowl (we never ordered an original), and the shredded chicken pollo bowl. When we went back to correct the order, they refunded the large corn and then charged us for a roasted corn pollo bowl COMBO - which we didn’t ask for. In the end, we had 3 pollo bowls between the 2 of us with a drink and set of tortillas we didn’t order.
The pollo bowls are really filling and quite good. The new shredded chicken pollo bowl was our favorite. It had enough flavor that the salsas weren’t necessary. The original and roasted corn bowls did need some extra flavor with the salsas - but were good with them. The churros are also worth getting. A plain quesadilla isn’t on the physical menu, but you can get one for $2.29 (I saw it on the app beforehand).
The soda machine and horchata machine were both extremely watered down. There were soda spills EVERYWHERE - we immediately had sticky shoes.
Overall, I was disappointed with the experience here. It just felt gross to be there and we ended up paying more than we should have. Going up more than twice to correct an order is exhausting - and that’s why we just settled and ate. There were workers walking around or standing around - and I’m sure they saw the soda spills (many of the spills had to have been there for over an hour). The food, however, was as good as I remembered it. The only con was that the quesadilla didn’t have cheese for 2 inches of the tortilla. The tortilla was...
Read moreThe chicken fajita burrito and the chips and salsa we're awesome. Sad to say that's all the good I have to say about our experience. The lady at the window was very interruptive, which also means she didn't listen. When you don't listen the order ends up wrong. We told her we didn't want drinks. She had charged us one small drink anyways. The straw was broke the lid was not on all the way and it wasn't close to being filled, that drink was also pretty much completely ice. So we paid for something we didn't ask for and that something was in RIDICULOUS shape. I use to work at Burger King and if I ever handed someone a drink like that, they would have ripped me a new one.
She also asked if we wanted flower or corn tortillas, we asked for flour, but received corn. The chicken my mother in law ordered was SO dry that it was inedible.
Extremely unimpressed. The cooks should be retrained and thw window workers should be taught some manners.
I would have reported the worker bbut her name tag was covered by a jacket.
Edit: The manager Bryan did an awesome job at handling this problem and convinced me to give it a second shot. It was a new cashier who was very sweet and friendly. She was definitely a people person. The food was perfect and now, I think it's my new favorite place. I respect people who actually make an effort to fix the problem and that is exactly what happened.
All of the burritos are fantastic, nothing was over cooked or undercooked. Great customer service. I'll ...
