Photos of what I ordered online vs what I actually received. SO MANY things wrong here, starting with there was a sign in front of the door that said "drive thru only" and the line was a mile long, so for me that largely defeats the purpose of ordering ahead because I expected to run in and grab them quickly. But ok, I get it, they were slammed and possibly understaffed. So after wasting time parking and walking to the door, I got at the drive thru line. The person I spoke to in the drive thru window was clueless as to what I ordered and I told her "halloween dozen" but she said "half dozen" and I said "No, a dozen" and she said "Oh, a dozen glazed ones?" And I said "NO. The haunted halloween ones. I ordered it online (annoyed tone)" And she and said "I just got here" and turned and walked away and returned with a haunted box. I pulled over in the parking lot to hand them to my kids to eat, and was surprised to see my box looked nothing like what I ordered. There were 2 cinnamon sugar donuts, several strawberry and chocolate with sprinkles instead of orange, one of the spider donuts was missing a spider, only one ghost donut and NO scaredy cat donuts. Important to note: these donuts cost $24 ($26 with tax) and the same donuts only cost $18 in Chicagoand $21 in New York, so the Utah mark-up is a lot. In fact $26 is a lot for donuts, so it was totally unacceptable to replace them with cheap substitutes and not even say anything to me about it. I tried to call the store and it went straight to a machine. I couldn't go inside, and the drive thru line was a mile long, so I was stuck with what I got. I didn't even want or need a dozen haunted donuts but it was the only online option and I wanted to surprise my kids. If I had known I would 1. Have to go through the loooong drive thru line and 2. That they didn't have most of the haunted donuts available, then I would have either not wasted an hour of my time and the gas on this nonsense, or I would have just orderedacouple of whatever was available in the drive thru instead of ordering ahead online. This store needs to seriously work on improving the quality of service--the employees aren't rude but consistently apathetic and unprofessional. They're always out of seasonal items and those items always look sloppy and nothing like the promotional photos. I honestly don't think I'll bother going here anymore because there are plenty of better options. Do better...
Read moreI used to love this location. However, today’s experience will have me finding another location. I tried to order online and they were only showing the glazed berry donuts available. I thought that can’t be right. I decided to call and when I did a girl just said hello? I was unsure if it was the right number so I asked “Is this Kristy Kreme?” to which all she said was “yah” I explained the problem and she was like well a dozen is 12. So I had to explain yet again that I was trying to get a mixed dozen and I wanted to place the order over the phone for pickup. The girl on the phone didn’t seem to want to do that and suggested that we just come in person since they weren’t busy at all. So we did. We got our mixed dozen and two medium mocha lates. The whole time the young adults that are fully staffing this place are on their headsets jabbering away and talking about other customers. We get our “medium “ coffees and they were small to say the least. When asked if that was the correct size my husband was given attitude about it and was simply told “my bad bro” The customer service at this location is absolutely terrible from the way the employees conduct themselves to the way they handle phone calls and the fact that they talk bad about the customers over the headsets with no shame of who may hear them is ridiculous. This is nothing more than a storefront with a bunch of unsupervised and unprofessional teenagers running the show. I will be taking my business to another location...
Read moreWas forced to go to the Riverdale KK after finding out the Layton location was closed during the middle of a normal business day. I called on my way over so they could have my order ready since the Layton one being closed completely messed up our timeline for making to my child's birthday party on time. Had to call a couple times before they finally answered, finally got to talk to someone who took my order and had it ready by the time we got there which I was very grateful for but when we got there there were two employees who said they would be right with us...they literally stood around for like 10 minutes, one of them opening the drive through window acting like he was helping someone...THERE WAS NO ONE THERE...then one guy finally comes over and starts helping the person in line behind me when I was there first and ready to pay for the doughnuts that were clearly ready to be picked up already.....so I mentioned that I seriously needed to hurry at this point so they finally decide to come take payment, I gave them my fundraiser discount card which they did not use properly and overcharged me, which is annoying in the first place but then you look at how overpriced their basic glazed doughnuts are...I never would have bought them for the price they charged me...note they didn't bother to tell me the price nor did they give me a receipt...and I'm sure it would have taken them an hour to do it correctly even if I had noticed right away....just...
