Tea Bar & Fusion Kitchen — Restaurant in Rocklin

I'm going to lay out many of the good qualities this place has going for itself before explaining our visit and the reasoning behind 2/5 stars.

Drinks here are great - I think it has a great focus and unique selection especially for the hot weather in California.

Atmosphere is fantastic, great decor and design as well as a nice spot to hangout as an alternative to a Cafe of sorts.

Unfortunately despite these positive aspects, we had a horrible experience during around the dinner rush 6pm. Our order was two drinks, two food bowls.

Everyone that ordered food was around 1hr of wait time, there were many before us waiting for maybe longer.

There was no water available in the dispensing area, and despite asking clarifying questions around whether the options we chose for food were spicy, the bowl for my wife still came out to be quite spicy and she was not able to finish her food.

On the topic of the food - the portion sizes are fairly small, expect a protein addition to be half the size of a small chicken breast. Just understand that food isn't the focus here, or if it is then management needs to completely rethink portion sizes relative to price.

I understand there could be extreme circumstances such as people walking out in the kitchen and being short staffed as well as ingredient / food prep issues. The fact of the matter is waiting 1+ hour for a grab and go place is hilariously unacceptable and I could have door-dashed food to the restaurant quicker than waiting as long as many people did.

Super chill place to get good, fresh food and THE MOST DELICIOUS drinks. And their deals aren't too bad either! Everytime we come here, the servers/staff are super nice and helpful, the food it great, and the drinks are SOOO GOOD. The food can get a little repetitive at times especially that the food ingredients are the same (you just pick between a bowl or wrap of the same items), but I appreciate a simple menu! I had a fantastic experience at Tea Bar & Fusion Kitchen, my first time trying out such a concept. The cashier was exceptionally friendly and provided personalized recommendations based on my preference for something non-spicy. I opted for the BBQ Salmon Bowl with a mix of Quinoa and Baby Greens along with a side of Creamy Teriyaki sauce—it was simply delicious!
