Jarvis Grill — Restaurant in Rogers Park Township

Never open during hours that are posted. Unclean dining area and a cheap screen door as a secondary door. The employees are rude and unprofessional. The short Mexican lady with the thin edges and poor comprehension always makes me repeat my order three-four times and tonight still managed to get my order wrong. Cheap eats can be seen as a hidden gem but if it comes with bottom of the barrel service and 3/10 quality then I 100% do not want it. Save yourself the trouble of having to repeat simple orders and being treated poorly for wanting to correct the mistake they made… BTW it wasn’t like they were slammed with customers they never even are. Moved back to this neighborhood after 10 years, remembered this place so I came back for a chicken pita. The first time I let his disrespectfulness go, but this is the SECOND TIME the person running the register/grill has been inexplicably rude to me for no apparent reason! He talked to me as if I was his child or something, even at one point telling me I should “turn off your (my) phone” (phone wasn’t on speaker and I wasn’t loud. He was just annoyed and having a bad day as usual) while I’m in the middle of a conversation....

This guy works HARD. I support him because Alderman Hadden shafted him and had Lyft bike racks installed which block his shop while giving her cronies on the opposite side of Jarvis outdoor seating. Don't ask - of course they are known donors to her campaign and host parties for her.
