Three days later and we are STILL SO disappointed by our experience here...not the food or the dine-in experience itself:
We came December 12th; we enjoyed it so much that when my roommate asked me to suggest a spot to eat, knowing that he was moving to Southern California and wouldn't have a chance to eat at many places ever again, it was one of two places I could think of in Sonoma County that I knew he would regret missing another meal from.
When ordering, the waiter actually remembered how I liked my bacon -- from the only time I had eaten there before, 3.5 months before. We were majorly impressed! 👍👍
The food was just as delicious as we remembered; we had a really hard time not ordering the same things again because we liked them so much the first time, but we wanted to try other things, too. We both enjoyed our selections immensely; YUM!
Knowing we would not have time to deal with dinner since we were all busy with packing and moving out, I saved the majority of my food for my dinner that evening, and my roommate's leftovers went into the same box. I even asked for mini containers for the compute/sauce.
Service was still stellar for this visit, but our bad, we neglected to grab the to-go box. There was one other table being waited; it was a quiet afternoon, but not yet time for closing. Less than 20 minutes later, we realized it might have been left behind -- and it was SO good, I didn't even jump in the car to go right back -- I picked up the phone instead, to call immediately.
The guy who picked up the phone was not the same one who waited our table; and although he was courteous enough, he seemed annoyed at being asked and didn't seem to want to make much effort to even check for certain. He glanced around, said he didn't see anything, and didn't seem keen to look further.
After the stellar food and service both times, that last little bit that could've been done, seems strangely odd to have NOT been done -- "Oh, set that aside for a few minutes, it's a rough economy right now, you never know..." -- would have resulted in an ALL 5-⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review on every aspect, not to mention an additional tip and our eternal gratitude for great memories...,
Now instead, it will forever be remembered as the last meal we Almost got to really finish enjoying together at/from a restaurant (we are moving to different cities). ...
Read moreI wish I could say this was a good experience, but it was absolutely miserable. Yes, the food could have been good, but the service was some of the worst I’ve seen — and for the prices they charge, it’s inexcusable.
We sat there forever before anyone even bothered to take our order. Meanwhile, a woman sat down after us at the bar, and the staff immediately rushed over to her. They not only took her order first — she actually got her food before we were even given the chance to order. I guess being friends with the staff is the only way to get served here. The chef even brought her food out personally. While we were ignored.
When our order finally went in, it took another 30 minutes for food to come out. My fiancée’s plate was piping hot while mine was stone cold. Not “cooled off,” not “lukewarm” — cold. And of course, our server disappeared. When he finally returned with a box, I told him my food was cold. His response? “Let me talk to the manager.” He came back not with the manager, not with an apology, not with any sort of compensation — but with the check. Full price, no explanation.
So here’s the reality: you pay premium prices for garbage service, ignored while regulars are treated like VIPs, and cold food that no one bothers to make right. Restaurants that don’t care about customers don’t deserve customers.
I appreciate the acknowledgment, but your response feels like a copy-and-paste apology that avoids addressing what actually happened. I didn’t just “feel overlooked” — we were ignored while regulars were prioritized, served cold food, and then handed a full-price check instead of an apology or any attempt to make it right.
That isn’t a small slip, it’s a complete breakdown in service and hospitality. For the prices you charge, I expected accountability, not vague assurances that “the team takes it seriously.” Guests deserve better than being brushed off with a...

The chilaquiles here are the best - I now measure all others against them. With choices of salsa and additions like chorizo or pork chop, you can get them exactly as you want. There is enough food for a huge appetite, or to share with a friend. So don't get shocked at the price on the menu - you're basically buying two meals.
My fav is the guajillo with chorizo, but I've had the salsa verde -tangy - and the boracho sauce which was made with beer and had a smokey sour taste. For add-ons I've had the pork chop - excellently prepared - as well as the green chorizo, which they told me is local to Pueblo, a place near Mexico City, and it was a unique taste worth a try.
Although I go here for chilaquiles, the Papas con Chorizo was a solid choice, especially with poached eggs. One friend tried their version of chicken fried steak, which was interesting in its own right but it's not your average southern fare, so set expectations aside.
Want something sweet? Try the Churro French Toast. I probably will struggle not to get this as a breakfast desert in the future. Their other griddle options are good - I've had the waffle - so the chef knows that they're doing.
This place has a brunch menu that is slightly different than weekdays. They will try new recipes during the week so it might be worth checking out options. Ask if there are any new items to try once you've explored the standard menu.
Service is friendly and personable, and they've done the best they can to make the strip mall location feel homey and inviting. It's almost always busy, but I've never had to wait more than...
