My most recent trip to IHOP has left me absolutely perplexed. IHOP claims to be the international house of pancakes. This type of claim should be backed with top tier food as well as service. However, my visit to IHOP was disappointing to say the very least. Right from the moment I walked in, I knew this would not be a pleasant experience. Firstly, the server seemed surprised and utterly disappointed to see hungry customers. He was incredibly unfriendly and had a mean demeanor about him. When he finally sat us down, I ordered a chocolate milk which was my first mistake. The chocolate milk was absolutely horrendous. The chocolate to milk ratio was about 7:93, roughly. It was as if I were drinking milk with a dab of chocolate splashed in. I proceeded to order French toast with a side of bacon. The French toast was room temperature and did not have nearly enough butter to cover all the individual slices of toast. The bacon had clearly been microwaved and was cold to the touch. After I had got the food down, which was a struggle, our server did not rush to get us our bill. After a substantial amount of time the bill comes and leaves me absolutely hornswoggled. The total for cost for the meal was almost $23. This is absolutely befuddling. My side of bacon came with 4 pieces and they charged me $5. The bacon was dry, soggy, and cold and IHOP charged 5 whole dollars for it. The chocolate milk alone was $4. For bottom tier chocolate milk they charged $4. On top of this outrageous bill, the sever took nearly 15 minutes to pickup the check so I could finally leave. IHOP has absolutely swindled me. This is an absurdity that needs more awareness. We cannot allow IHOP to keep taking advantage of people who just want to eat some quality breakfast food. IHOP is an example of a big company that feels entitled to people’s money because of their past success. IHOPs rapid declination should be paid for by its loyal customers. With the lackluster service, outrageous prices, and sub par quality food, IHOP will never be seeing my money again. I hope more people can wake up and stand up against the abysmal...
Read moreWorst experience ever at this location. Called to be seated at our table at 3:32. A lady came to our table roughly 5-7 minutes after we were seated to get our drink order. We went ahead and gave her our food order as well. Drinks arrived after 15-20 minutes of waiting after she took our order. Another 20+ minutes went by and no food. I questioned where our order was. The only response was ‘ we been busy”. Finally after waiting 50 minutes after taking our order was she started the “we been busy” talk. I asked why 3 groups of people who were seated after our group was had already got their food, ate, and left or were leaving. At this point she became very rude and hateful and seemed to care less about the situation. At this point, I asked to speak to a manager. She walked off mumbling that we could have a discount or something, but no manager. 59 minutes after being seated, the first 2 plates of food arrived. Roughly 2-3 minutes before the next and so on. A waiter started helping her trying to help us. She began to have that nasty attitude again. At that point, he took over her table and sent her to roll silverware. This waiter was great and did a great job taking care of us from then on. A discount or something like the rude / snotty waitress mentioned multiple times would have been nice for our trouble. We were the last ones in the building for over 20 minutes before our food started to arrive. We had to endure the smell of the mopping and cleaning chemicals they were using to shut down for the day in our section we were seated in before and during our meal. Won’t be back to this location, but thankful the young man that finally sent the snotty lady on and helped us to wrap things up. FYI... if any IHOP management reads this review, I would be happy to provide names of those individuals, and my transaction number for my meal. Also, have the text of when we were called...
Read moreAfter a long midshift at work, I found that I was hungry. So I wandered into the IHOP (because the only other options were one of big _ house franchises and I didn't want to be up all night with heartburn) and was greeted as soon as I entered (apx 3am ish) by my server, a dark haired petite young lady with a "sir mix-a-lot" eye catcher, Amy, I believe was the name. Very friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu, seemed to stay busy working the whole time I was present, was there to check up on me every time I needed a refill, even came back to try an upsale me additional items! The cook looked like an unkempt homeless man from Seattle Washington in the 90s, very "unclean" looking, I mean to say his appearance was.... he did wash his hands. It was entertaining to disturb his "break" from the dining room table he had taken up camp at, just as soon as my food was prepared, he found his way back to "camp" where he stayed during my entire visit. The bill was reasonable and it was a great atmosphere.
The GM should thank the heavens that, after 10 years in restaurant business, I decided to move on to new ventures. Because that server was worth recruiting for middle management or better at any of the 33 stores I once overseen. Damn shame to see such potential being collared at $2.13 an hour pay rate on a graveyard shift..... Lady, if ever you get to where you want to change employment, look me up and I'll GUARANTEE you a better payrate AND a titled position, if you're willing to relocate.... I'm retired from the food industry but I'm still very well respected and connected in the...
