Backporch Social — Restaurant in Round Rock

This was our second time at Back Porch Social, and once again it didn’t disappoint. We came for the outdoor vibe and the kid-friendly atmosphere ,both delivered. The live bands have been great both times and actually engage with the crowd, which makes the whole experience feel more personal and fun.

Bar service was fast and super friendly ,no long waits, even when it got busy. Food was solid too, and everyone around us (staff and patrons) just gave off good energy.

Up front, they’ve got a small arcade style game room with everything from bulldozers and crane games to a punching machine and a timed-arm game where you can win real prizes ,I actually scored a pair of headphones! It’s a fun bonus, especially if you’ve got a kiddo with you or just want to kill time with something different.

Outside they’ve got games like cornhole, Connect Four, and that ring-on-a-string wall game ,adds to the laid-back, hangout vibe.

If I had to nitpick, I’d say the seating in front of the stage is a bit low and pushed back, which makes conversation a little tough if you’re trying to chat with your group. Not a dealbreaker at all , just a personal preference and might not bother others.

Overall, this is a great spot with something for everyone , chill vibes, live music, games, and a place where both adults and kids can enjoy themselves. We’ll definitely...

Nice outdoor turf area with stage and big screen TV, but the sound is so loud you have to shout to hear each other. I’m talking blaring loud. We asked if they would turn it down, which they did, but then turned it back up later. It’s a small place so it’s overkill in my opinion. Good for sports but not socializing.

Typical bar food. Not bad, but definitely pricey. Each appetizer (cheese sticks, poppers) and beer ran about $9.

The interior has some arcade games to play (both kid and adult/gambling centered games). No place to sit inside to enjoy a drink/food. The smell of disinfectant is a bit overwhelming, but glad to know it’s clean I guess? The interior feels oddly disconnected from the exterior. Like two different concepts just got squished together.

It was my first time here and I’m very bummed.

I made a reservation online and showed up on time, but there was no host at the front (game room area) to help. I then went to the bar and asked about my reservation, and the gentleman was SUPER NICE and they were SUPER BUSY, but he was unaware of my reservation.

Unfortunately, they had no more tables available for my family. The gentleman did offer a high top table to sit at, but it just wouldn’t have worked with my kids. A real bummer since it was my fiancés Birthday and we were all looking forward to it.
