First off, I want to start off by saying that I usually never complain about food. I’ve passed this place multiple times and have always been curious until my family and I finally decided to go in. We ordered two chicken rice BOWLS, soup, and beef teriyaki. The first to come out was the teriyaki and udon soup. The soup was alright. Tasted a little bland but was edible. As for the teriyaki, it tasted extremely undercooked, chewy, and impossible to eat. I thought to myself…maybe not their best dish. Finally the two other entrees came out. To start, it looked like schlep on a plate. I decided not to judge before I tried it and when I did I was appalled. It tasted raw and I was not the only person at the table who thought so. In fact, everyone did. At this point I had lost my appetite and decided to call the waitress over. I told her the miso soup and udon was fine for us to pay for but since we didn’t even touch the entrees because they were raw, there was no way I was paying full price. She proceeded to tell me that she can’t take off any money because we ate it when we only took one bite of the entrees. Then some random girl stands up and stated that she and her husband have been frequenting this place for years and that it’s great and unique food. I guess unique would be one way to describe this… After some arguing she finally said she would take off half and I agreed. She brought the bill back and only took off $6 out of a $45 bill. At this point I had had it. I told her that since our food was raw and we did not eat it that she must take the entrees off and that I would only cover the soups. Finally, she took $20 off and I left. I do NOT recommend going here. When I ordered the rice bowls this is what came out. I don’t even know...
Read moreAmazing! My husband and I love it here. The sushi quality is amazing and the price is ridiculously low for the amount of food you get. 10/10. Also, the owner and her husband are so attentive and sweet.
UPDATE: So in the most recent review left by Gabby I am the "random girl" who stood up. The reason I intervened is because the owners second language is english and the conversation seemed to be escalating. I overheard everything and I even OFFERED TO PAY for the half of the meal this girl and her friends complained about. I said it is UNIQUE/RARE (in my experience) that the food would be bad because I frequent the place often. After the teenagers stormed out, I asked the owner to show me their bill because I wanted to cover the difference for whatever Gabby and her teenage friends didn't (times are hard and the food industry is tough). The owner comped the $11 entree, not $6. Also, afterwards someone called the owner on this girls behalf and screamed at her over the phone for making the girl pay for the rest of her meal (which I witnessed as well). Overall, (maybe it is none of my business) but from what I saw/heard the girl didn't like her food and wanted the whole dinner the meal for 4 teenagers comped. Even in the off chance that her food was bad quality it remains to be seen why she is so angry because the owner comped the entree she complained about and I even OFFERED to pay for half the meal to make the awkward interaction end so I could get back to my...
Read moreI have never been to a more pitiful and horrible sushi place in my life!!! DO NOT ORDER HERE!! To start the manager or whatever she is has the worst attitude and has zero experience managing or even dealing with customers. I ordered a roll that had spicy tuna in it and a few other ingredients and was supposed to have jalapeños on it. When I got the order, it was fried which was not mentioned at all and I would have never ordered because I don’t like tempura rolls, did not have jalapeños, and did not have any spicy tuna in it. When I called to complain, she told me it is the right roll and the jalapeños are upon request which makes absolutely no sense. I just at this point asked for a different roll, and was appalled to have her ask me to to bring it back so that she can give me the spicy tuna roll and still charge me for it. Before taking it back I realized it was not spicy tuna at all, but definitely CANNED TUNA in my sushi. I took it back and was furiously complaining and she was inconsiderate and stubborn. I kept telling her this was canned tuna and the wrong roll and she had horrible customer service skills, and she was trying to give me a $10 back for my order and then took it back and said I’ll give you $5 since some of the roll was eaten. I was so disgusted I let her know how pitiful she was And that I’d be leaving the worst review and would...
