It is extremely rare that I do a review—good or bad—for a restaurant. But this one is warranted. Have to do it! Opened my email an hour ago to a Chili’s “3 for $10” promotion. The deal is, you can only choose from a limited menu and pick a non-alcoholic bev, an app or side, and an entrée. I hadn’t eaten a thing all day, so I bit. I ordered online the strawberry lemonade, a Cesar salad, and the mushroom and jack chicken fajitas. I added a dessert, the Paradise Pie, which was a brownie-with-ice cream type thing. (All the dessert items looked pretty small on the menu.) It was indicated that I could do a curbside pickup 15 minutes later. Thumbs up! After 10 minutes, I headed on over (5 minutes away) and when my food was brought out, looking at the size of the bag, I KNEW they got my order wrong. And I was handed a GINORMOUS lemonade (the SELECTION was right, but I was skeptical of the SIZE). Before I drove off, I checked the receipt on the bag. Yep. That’s what I ordered. Hmmm… So I get home and start unpacking the bag. First I pulled out the salad. It was in one of those burger-size Styrofoam boxes. I expected a little more, but whatev. Next another burger-sized box (I’ll tell you what was inside in a minute). Then I opened a meal-sized Styrofoam box. It was the dessert. There was a blondie-type-brownie, a full cup of ice cream, a quarter-cup of chopped walnuts, a quarter-cup of hot fudge and a quarter-cup of caramel. But I digress (just THINKING about sugar does that to me.) So … the ENTRÉE. I opened the box … and there HAD to be a POUND of mushrooms in there (actually a full pint, no joke) and a ton of onions and bell pepper and chicken and cheese. PLUS there was a full cup each of Spanish rice and black beans! And in that second little box, there was guac and cheese and salsa and too much sour cream even for people who LOVE it (I don’t). There were only four small tortillas; when I placed the order, I had the option of adding tortillas—I didn’t, because I didn’t know I would NEED them! They included 3 utensil packs, because I guess they presume that you’ll be SHARING (EASILY with 3 or even 4 people!) or eating leftovers for 3 days. I had been fully prepared to eat everything under the premise that you get what you pay for. But NOT this time! ALL that! For $10!!! (I could have skipped the dessert and saved myself eight bucks.) This was a CRAZY good deal and it was DAMNED tasty too! I had two fajitas and the salad and I could only eat HALF of the dessert, because LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING. The brownie, while somewhat small, was HEFTY! I will go to bed FAT and HAPPY tonight! Get this one...
Read moreI have been a Chili's fan for as long as I can remember but I must share this very important situation what happened to me when I went to the Chili's in Northgate off of truxel all patrons are forced to order their meals through the Chili's website unfortunately for me it also belongs to a company called doordash I did order my food through that website and later on that day and into three days later I checked my bank account and I learned that I had five charges all in San Francisco that did not belong to me I further learned that somehow we do not know who yet it could be a Chili's employee it could be a doordash employee or could be a website employee I am not sure yet due to the investigation so furthermore to the charges have been returned to me by going through my bank and them demanding me to contact doordash which I have done I'm still waiting for the other charges to be returned but for everybody out there I further until the investigations completed I will no longer order my food online when I can just walk into the place and get my food which I was there personally I didn't need to put my information online which I had done so furthermore because of that situation I will never go back to Chili's until I can go in and order directly and I would suggest to everybody be very careful in which way they are requiring you to order because there is a breach in their security system and this is truthful and factual basis it is still under...
Read moreVery disappointed in the last visit. We are very frequent visitors.Went on 9/1 happy hour. Ordered the BONE IN Buffalo wings. Server brought out all the food and set down BONELESS wings! When brought to his attention that we didn't order these.. the server said "oh ya, we are out of those" like are you serious? Why was that not mentioned prior to our food coming out and why did he not take the time to let us know so we could order something else. At that point all our food was on the table and we didn't want to order new food and have to wait longer. It wasn't even busy. I would have not left a tip because he definitely did not deserve one. But my mom has always taught me "don't go out if you can't pay a tip" very disappointed and honestly might consider a different location.
About 4 months ago my child and I got food poisoning from their salad. I thought it tasted odd but figured maybe it was just the dressing. We ate half of it. And then got sick within 24 hours. I missed 3 days of work because of that. I called them and let them know and they didn't even care. Isn't that sad? To not care about the quality of your restaurant? Upsetting that the manager or owner does not care. I don't ever write a bad review unless truly needed. And unfortunately once I do, you loose us as a customer unless you make...
