I recently visited Nation’s Giant Hamburgers on Truxel Road in Natomas, and it was a delightful experience. The retro diner ambiance, complete with a display case of tempting pies, set the stage for a comforting meal. The staff greeted me warmly and were attentive throughout my visit, making the atmosphere feel welcoming and relaxed. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, contributing to an overall pleasant dining environment. For my meal, I chose the cheeseburger, which featured a juicy 1/3 lb. all-beef patty on a toasted bun, topped with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and a touch of mustard. The burger was flavorful and satisfying, embodying the classic American diner taste. I paired it with crispy fries that were cooked to perfection, providing a delightful crunch with each bite. To finish, I indulged in a slice of banana cream pie, which boasted a flaky crust and a rich, creamy filling that was both sweet and refreshing. Overall, my experience at Nation’s Giant Hamburgers was enjoyable. The combination of friendly service, quality ingredients, and a nostalgic atmosphere makes it a great spot for a casual meal. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty burger or a slice of homemade pie, this location in Natomas delivers a satisfying dining experience!

Be Back rating- yeah! I tried waiting in line for another burger place across the street but I decided to go here cause' I didn't feel like it was worth waiting for the 15 cars ahead of me. You know the place. Anyway, I like the idea of watching them prepare the food at Nations. Yes! It doesn't come from a slide out food warmer. Yuk! And the actual burger patty was not hidden by the lettuce, onions, and tomatoes. It was a decent size- about half an inch in thickness. I enjoyed the sort of sweet, mayonnaise based sauce they have. Oh, you may want to ask for less onions. I didn't mind the three rings, though. And I had to ask for pickles. I didn't try any of their pies, as they do have a bunch available. I did spot a pecan pie, one of my favorites....maybe next time.

One thing I immediately noticed was how tidy and clean the place was. The lady at the counter was super friendly. Loads of scrumptious looking pies on display, but I didn't get any, maybe next time. Their "giant" burger is not really what I would call a giant but it's big enough and messy to eat, the good kind of mess. Not the best burger I had, but not bad either. Yes, it's big enough that I had about 1/3 of it left (ate more chili fries than burger). Also, got their chili fries with shredded cheese. Its quite good, but it was served with beans and I'm not particularly crazy about beans. Next time, I'll definitely try their gigante breakfast burrito. Just to see if it's really "gigantic" :)

I’m not one to leave bad reviews typically because I know we all have bad days, but If I could give this Nations 0 stars I would. Horrible service. It sucks that the staff and Manager are extremely slow, unapologetic of their shortcomings, and unaccommodating, ruining my childhood memories of this restaurant. I ordered pies on 1/3/2025 for pick-up on 1/4/2025. I was unable to pick up and was told that I had to call customer service for a refund. No problem. I reached out to customer service over a span of two weeks through phone and email, with no response. I was finally able to show up to the location in person today and was met with disregard and a rude demeanor from Kristen. A staff member called her from the back to assist me. She goes to the male staff and starts speaking low to him and helps him with completing orders without acknowledging my presence for about 5 minutes as if I did something wrong. She made eye contact with and called orders out to the people around me but didn’t even have the decency to say, “I’ll be right with you” to me. Then doesn’t greet me. I tell her what I’m there for. She calls the manager on the phone who confirms my order and name over the phone because I let them know that I’ll take a refund, or the pies I ordered depending on which ever is convenient for THEM, since I was still there to pick up pie anyway. But I asked to exchange one pie for a different one. The manager (a woman) rudely responds and tells me I can’t exchange one of the pies for another and that I already submitted a refund request to customer service so my only option is a full refund, or the pies I paid for. Which is NO problem, my issue is, why was I met with such disregard for the lack of a response from customer service, and why was I being spoken to so rudely when I am rightfully requesting accommodation for their shortcomings? I’ve worked in customer service for many years and if they hate their job so much to the point that they’re not kindly figuring out ways to satisfy the customer, then this isn’t the job for you! The manager told me that it can take a day or two for her to hear back from customer service for my refund. No apology or nothing for how long I’ve already been waiting. Even if it’s not directly her fault, I can tell they didn’t care at all about making things right. Then once I ended the call with the manager, she calls back right away and says something slick to Kristen. If I didn’t promise someone these pies, I would’ve just left. After I ordered my NEW order of pies with Kristen, there was no sense in urgency with getting them to me. I waited for her to finish helping other customers before me even though I had already been at the restaurant for 20 minutes at this point. She looks like she hates working there and hates dealing with people. They all suck and I won’t be back, and I suggest you don’t go...

Love Nations, have been going to the locations in the bay since I was little, and they match up like all other locations in the bay, if you dont like burgers from the bay don't go here because this is a little slice of home for me, and its so wonderful. I will say their hamburgers can be dry sometimes and even then not that dry, their burgers taste better with the dressing, so if you dont like burgers with sauce, then this place isn't for you. Esspecially because most burger places when you don't have one that's home-cooked or from somewhere extremely high end, are sorta dry to dryish and require sauce and cheese to taste good at all. If you aren't one for well done burgers at restaurants that have always avoided (look up its history, this place hasn't changed in decades) the extra legal health steps to have the licensure to do all the other edible levels of burgers. Dont go here. But if you want a tasty burger with all the fixens sauce included (just do light lettuce and tomato, its too big to bite if you keep the normal amounts), that's a huge cut above all other fast food (aside from in n out) then know this is a good place with good pie.

They've done a good job with opening during a pandemic as well and think you shouldn't judge them based on their current reviews, but rather let them get into their groove. I've eaten at this one and the one in citrus heights multiple times, I drive 20 minutes home and my burgers are always still warm and worth it to eat, never have they gotten my order wrong. They live up to their bay area...
