The food is amazing and the staff is very nice...but the owner is RUDE! NOT REALLY VEGAN FRIENDLY AT ALL! A couple of months ago, I discovered this place & I started eating here often (up to 4 x in one week!). Once I phoned in an order to go. I ordered Tom Kna Gai soup, with veggies since I'm vegan. Since they put raw veggies in the soup I asked if I could get the veggies on the side so they wouldn't get overcooked before I could eat it. It was the owner that answered the phone. She argued with me that should just couldn't do that. I explained to her why I wanted the veggies on the side and she kept arguing, but then finally agreed to put them on the side this time, but she wouldn't do it again. I ate there a few more times, even taking a couple of friends to lunch there. I will always get that amazing soup, and the spicy Thai salad with chicken, but I ask for the chicken on the side since I'm vegan. The hubs eats the chicken (we split the salad) if he's with me, & if he's not, I just bring it home and use it to make a chicken salad sandwich for him. It costs more to have it with chicken. Each time I have ordered it, whether to eat there or to go, I get the chicken on the side. So a couple of weeks ago I phoned in an order of the Tom Kha Gai soup (I didn't ask for the veggies on the side since it wasn't worth the argument I might goet) and the Spicy Thai Salad, with the chicken on the side. I was starving and looking forward to the meal. I was sharing it with friends, and when I arrived at their house and pulled the food out of the bag, the order was all screwed up - they forgot the coconut milk in the soup (or it might have been a totally different soup), and the chicken was all mixed into the salad. The only part of the order that was correct was the Thai fried rice. I called them up and let them know the order was wrong and they took my name and said they were writing it in the book and the next time I come in they will give me those 2 items for free. About a week later I took a friend there for lunch. As we walked in I remembered that I had 2 free items on the books, and gave them my name. We were seated & we ordered. They bring out the order...she told me that the salad was dry since I had the chicken on the side. Sure enough, they had put all the dressing on the chicken & left the salad dry. That made absolutely NO sense. I told her that I wanted the dressing on the salad & she took it away. The owner was the one who brought out the corrected order but let me know I could NEVER have the chicken on the side again AS THEY DON'T DO THAT. I told her I have ALWAYS had the chicken on the side with no problems. She continued to tell me that they don't do that and I told her they have ALWAYS done that for me....& that I was vegan, but my lunch guest wasn't a vegan. She iterated that they wouldn't do that for me again. Well, when I got to the bottom of the salad, there was a hair on the plate.I showed the waitress and she said "I'm blonde". I told her I knew it wasn't hers, & that I wasn't trying to get free food & asked for the bill. let her know that her service was great, but that the owner didn't seem very customer-oriented. Well, today the Hubs & I went there for lunch. I happened to look at the menu & noticed they have the following blurb written: "We'll do our best to accommodate your special dietary requests, however, all modified items will not be subject to return, exchange or credit. We appreciate your understanding." I ordered the soup and the Spicy Thai salad with the chicken on the side. The waitress came back and told me she couldn't put the chicken on the side. I mentioned the blurb on their menu about accommodating special dietary requests, and then she said "is you name ?". I said yes, and she flipped open her order book and taped on the inside was a piece of paper with the words "Do not serve ___ (my full name)" written in large black letters. The food is amazing, the servers are very nice...the owner is...

Tucked away in Midtown Sacramento is an absolute gem of a Thai restaurant that hits every note just right. We were lucky enough to have Reesie as our server—she was friendly, informative, and made the experience even more enjoyable.

I had the Pad See Ew—perfectly wok-fried flat rice noodles with tender chicken, broccoli florets, and egg in a rich sweet soy sauce. The noodles were cooked to perfection: soft yet chewy with that unmistakable smoky flavor you only get from a hot wok. This dish hit the spot—sweet, savory, comforting, and deeply satisfying.

We also shared the Krapow Kaidow Bento Box—a street food-inspired lunch featuring minced chicken sautéed in spicy garlic soy sauce with green beans, peppers, Thai basil, and topped with a crispy fried egg. It came with salad, blanched veggies, rice, and an appetizer. Everything was incredibly fresh—from the jasmine rice to the crisp vegetables. You can tell there’s real care and skill behind the scenes in the kitchen.

And yes, I did a little deep dive on the hot sauces too! They’ve got the usual red chili Sriracha-style sauce, a tangy red pepper blend, and my favorite: the house fish sauce with chopped fresh Thai chilis, garlic, and maybe a hint of soy and ginger—classic Southeast Asian flavor bomb.

We sat outside, and on a beautiful day like today, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy your meal. The patio is peaceful and dog-friendly—they even had water bowls out for the pups. I’m not sure what it’s like on a rainy day, but when the sun’s shining, this place is a real vibe.

Walked in around 730 Tuesday night. Volume very loud and place had several empty tables. Sat upfront by window and soon was overcome with people yelling at each other at most tables not sure is the alcohol or what. The waiter came by he was yelling at me as he dropped off an ice water no menu and I started to ask no ice but waiter was on disconnect. Young woman took order never saw menu I always try pad Thai in new place Tea came again the male waiter too stressed running around. Food came pretty fast size was more like a lunch te than dinner entre. Noodles were big sticky ball nothing could get between them including my chopsticks. No flavor no spice even though I ordered med spicy. Chicken dry no flavor very mass produced. Male waiter came by about when I was done how is everything I just waived my hand as ok and justed wanted to leave. Young woman who was my waiter I had to wait and flag her down to get her interest and that's when I shared pad Thai was not very good she asked i told her. I didn't look at amount but when I see $17 plus $3 for chicken that was at most something to eat I kind of thought this is wrong. Young waitress said oh? Bloom feedback gave me bill and I walked out. This place I'm sure is on the lower end of great food...

I love it so much here. The people here took such good care of me and I was really the only one here in the restaurant after one table left but it was good because I got to charge up my laptop and my phone it was two tables here next to outlets and the lady here so sweet. Now, that mushroom dish amazing the fried mushrooms here I couldn't even finish it played it with so much and it was really delicious. Let me explain. You know how you've been to a million restaurants and they have fried mushrooms on the menu and it's just those regular tiny small white mushrooms maybe they're cut in half. And you know when it's done good it's a really good okay thing to order. The mushrooms here are way more better than that and they're so substantial the flavors are delectable you can taste the smokiness the crispiness in the peppers and everything man it's so good I'm going to come back.

I eat here when I have time. The plates can range in how they look from day to day. Like the fresh spring rolls with shrimp. There are some pictures that look way better than my plate, but they could be out of some garnishes. I get the yellow curry meal but make it green cause I like the taste of their green curry. They have outdoor, indoor, and a second story. The view of j Street is never that appealing, but you'll probably see the crazy homeless that stalk the corner parking lot of Chicago fire from the second floor. The outside area plants give a nice block and they take you away from the street view. It's not really fun for me when I go alone. I don't really like to people watch, but if that's your thing there are always people around. They have art and statues you can look and wonder about, so it's not all bad.
