A Thursday evening so it wasn’t too busy. Waited for anyone to greet or at least acknowledge that we were there. Although he looked at us, the bartender ignored our presence. Ok, I get it, you’re the bartender. We seat ourselves and patiently wait for someone. Server is bring out food/drinks to the other 3 tables. Ok, I get it. 3 tables, you’re alone, the bartender is useless. Server comes over after 24 minutes, sets down menus, tells us the kitchen closes in 30 minutes so if we could hurry to order
. We order ice teas. She comes back after 10 minutes with our drinks and says “ if you need more time, I’ll come back”. Mind you we are now down to 20 minutes til kitchen closes. We order immediately. Easy, a salad & a couple sandwiches. She doesn’t offer sides but Ok, I get it, you’re getting close to being done and want to go. 48 minutes pass and still nothing. Finally she brings out our order. Tells us they “ran out of sides” so “you’re getting tortilla chips”. (those aren’t even on the menu option for sides). Options were pasta salad, potato salad or coleslaw. Quite different than “chips”. Ok, I get it, the kitchen is closed so don’t do anything extra now. Overall just a poor experience. I understand they get a huge amount if tourists through but if someone sits down, the very least you can do is...

This has to be one of the worst bars I've been to in Florida. We got to this place around quater to 4 in the afternoon, sat down and ordered a greek salad and an Italian sub. The waitress said "awesome" after taking our order and disappeared. At 5:07, hungry and still waiting for the greek salad(I'm assuming they went to Greece and asked Zeus for him to conjure up the salad and sandwich), I told the waitress, to forget the order and give me the check so we can go to another restaurant to eat as competency was not a thing at this bar. The waitress "but sir, it's coining out right now". The tall skinny goofy dude behind the bar, tells me, " This is very typical around here. Wait time for food in any restaurant is around 2 hours". I told him I did not come to the Amish paradise to wait all day for a salad and a sandwich, we just want to eat in a restaurant thst can operate in the 21st century. Obviously this was a bad experience and Not a good place to go to eat anything. The sandwich after that ridiculous wait was terrible. Avoid this crappy joint, there are better places to go to then this crabby hole...

We made the mistake of being in a hurry to eat without reading about the area first. However, we walked past The Rendezvous Restaurant and it looked promising. We stepped in and it all went downhill from there. As we placed our order, the sides did not include the typical "bar" food, such as french fries or vegetables, etc. That was fine, but then after about 30 minutes of waiting for our food (there were only 2 other groups seated at this point), we were getting a little agitated. We noticed the other two groups were not eating either and we became a bit concerned. Then we waited about 15 minutes more. I actually left for a little while to walk around nearby shops while my husband waited at the table. Still no food.....we were finally served after waiting for about 55-60 minutes! Mind you, this was lunch food and obviously not a popular place. We should have realized it only specializes in beer, not food. I do not recommend this...

St. Augustine can be a funny place sometimes. On the main streets of Old Town you will contend with crowds of people and folks waiting in line to get a slice of pizza. But if you just go slightly off the main street, you can find havens of relative calm. My wife and children visited the Oldest City during the lights festival at Christmas time, and as you can imagine, it was nuts. But we knew that there were restaurants that were tucked away. Rendezvous was where we decided to have dinner, and it was a fantastic experience. The house manager Collin took great care of us, even though they were busy. The sandwiches and coleslaw were excellent. Oh, and they also have about a thousand different beers. đŸ» Highly recommended!!

Cool little spot on St. George Street to refuel and refresh while you're walking the historic downtown area of St. Augustine. Incredible selection of beer. Good food. Good service.

This restaurant at the end of the hall of little shops is excellent. They have just about every beer you can imagine and if you can’t find your favorite, they will suggest something comparable and you will be happy. We tasted the Quadruple IPA on tap, but at 12%ABV, it was a bit heavy for a hot June day. The bartender DeAngel asked us what style beer we prefer and based on that he suggested three different IPAs, all of which were tasty. We stopped in for lunch so the Black Forest Ham and Brie panini with thinly sliced green apple and spicy mustard was perfect to split. It came with an outstanding homemade style pasta salad. Check out the cool shops first and then have a Belgian Ale or Pilsner or Stout and so on.
