Home town cafe with breakfast being their best meal of the day and that is good cuz they serve it all day. Went back for dinner, not again or order breakfast. Lots of food for the money and normally I would give a place like Bishops a 5 🌟, BUT due to their STUPID, petty, ridiculous and beyond over priced SUBSTITUTION policy that will almost cost you the same amount as your meal. I think it must be a "think tax" I pay for making the employees think just a bit more to make their clients happy, how sad.
Oh and a huge PS to the OWNER:
THE NEXT TIME YOU EAVES-DROP INTO MY PERSONAL CONVERSATION TELLING MY BUDDY ABOUT GREENBAY BEATING THE COWBOYS AND WHAT A BIG POOR-SPORT COWBOY FANS REALLY ARE WHEN THEY LOSE AND THEN FOR YOU TO TAKE OT TO THE NEXT LEVEL BY INTERRUPTING MY CONVERSATION AND RUDELY TELLING ME "YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE NOT A COWBOYS FAN, POINTING YOUR FINGER AT ME AS YOU WALKED AWAY, NOT ALLOWING ME TO RESPOND, WELL HERE IT IS:
ITS JUST A FOOTBALL GAME, and being a Cowboy fan you should be well used to disappoint, and next time your Cowboy get beat take the high road and not threaten a non Cowboy customer they way you did me.

Read moreBishop's Grill has been on our list of places to try for a while now, so we were excited to have the chance to visit finally. Unfortunately, our experience was not what we had hoped for.
We were expecting a short wait for a table, as we were quoted 20-25 minutes. However, we ended up waiting for an hour before being seated. We even offered to split our party up to speed up the process, but that didn't make a difference. After waiting for so long, we assumed that we would be seated together, but that wasn't the case. We waited an additional 40 minutes past the quoted time, and our party was still split.
When we finally received our breakfast, we were disappointed to find that the eggs and hash browns were cold. The Dr. Pepper that I had ordered was also flat. It was frustrating to have to wait so long for our meal and then receive it in less-than-desirable condition.
Despite our issues, our waitress Cassie was the one bright spot of the experience. She was friendly and attentive and did her best to compensate for the delays and quality issues we faced. It's a shame that the rest of the experience didn't match up to the level of service she provided.
Our visit to Bishop's Grill was not what we had hoped for. We understand that delays can happen, but waiting an hour and receiving cold food and flat drinks was disappointing. We do appreciate Cassie's efforts to make our visit better, but it wasn't enough to salvage the overall experience. We may give Bishop's Grill another chance in the future, but we'll definitely be cautious about our...
Read morePlease, PLEASE, COOK HASHBROWNS PROPERLY! You get props for using real potatoes, however, (and maybe the cooks don't know this) you CANNOT simply grate a potato and fry it on the grill, wait til it browns a bit and then turn it, then serve on a plate 2-3 minutes later! Potatoes, like carrots, beets, turnips are HARD ROOT vegetables and take considerable time to cook/soften. Most breakfast places will a) boil the potatoes and let them cool, then grate them...THEN season and grill them until crispy on the outside. Or, b) they grate the raw potato and place into boiling hot water for several minutes to soften/cook, then drain and dry before seasoning and grilling until golden brown on the outside. For clarification: if you place raw, grated potatoes on a grill, you'd have to cover them with an air-tight lid (to steam cook) for several minutes to cook thoroughly, and likely end up burning the outside before the inside is cooked! BTW, this is not the first, second, or third time this kitchen has been told they're serving raw hash browns. *When you order, make it crystal clear you want your hash browns cooked thoroughly, and if you detect on first bite they're raw, send it back, order something w/o hash browns. Eventually they'll fix this ongoing problem. PS-- this is a 1% problem; everything else...
