Stopped here after a long day of walking on Mackinac Island. I believe it was the owner who was working late and graciously served us so close to closing time. The whole experience, top to bottom, was great. Love that he's passionate about keeping the food local (Michigan products, if not from St. Ignace itself) and donating to the local animal shelter. Now let's talk about the food! I'm craving a Dusty Dog right now. Best chili dog I've ever had. Bf had the P.H.A.T. Dusty (smash burger) and he loved it. We got waffle fries and onion rings and I'm telling you, everything was so fresh and delicious, I could hardly believe it. Far exceeded my expectations. Oh yeah, we washed it down with a Faygo root beer float. Are you hungry yet?? The best part though was how the food was served: in a doggie dish!! Loved this!!! The decor is quirky and cheerful - I mean, how can you be in a bad mood surrounded by a bunch of colorful pictures of dogs? For a small space it turned out to be a huge experience in St. Ignace. Also, we had a great conversation with the owner. Parking could be a little cramped during busy times, but not a deal breaker. If you're in St. Ignace chances are you're already on foot or bike anyway. I can't remember if it's wheelchair accessible. Definitely check this place out, you'll be glad you did. Please open one in Monroe, but even if you don't, we'll for...

First of all the food, the tater tots were still cold inside and the ammount was minimal for 4dollars. The chips were cold as well. The burguer was ok, just a little bland. The ingredients inside the burguer was a joke, there was 1 grape tomato cut in half, one little squeeze of sauce and my husband's burguer there was literally 1 slice of pickle and probably less than 1/10 of a onion. Which does not justify the price, absolutely everything is extra and you will only found out when the bill comes. The waitress rounded UP our bill, never ever seen something like that (?)

The restaurant itself you could tell they like dogs and don't take me wrong I do too. But it was soooo overtop. If you are going to serve food in a dog bowl (which I don't think you should) at least do a ceramic one. We were served in plastic ones that were in terrible condition already.

Well, we are never coming back and regreded the whole day for going there in the...

I brought my kids to the UP and my son insisted we come here to Rusty Dogz. I was so disappointed! The woman at counter, stopped us mid order to go to the back to ask the cook a question. She came back, asked us to repeat our order and then after 2 out of my 3 kids order hot dogs, and my youngest son goes to order and she stops him and says oh we're out of hot dogs now. Just burgers left.... Wait. Thats the question she went asked the cook mid order, why would she not tell us that up front? There are 5 people in my family. So my older kids can get what they want but my youngest can't? Nope. We left. That's flat out rude. My son was so excited to try their food. I refuse to support a place that is rude to their customers. By the way. How do you run out of hot dogs when your a hot dog...

My friend and I were in St. Ignace and looking for a casual place for lunch. We read where Dusty’s Dogz serves their food in dog dishes, and that hooked us in. However, the gimmick of the dog dishes wasn’t just fun, but the food was great! I had the Detroit hotdog with chips and my friend had one with sauerkraut and onion rings. I especially appreciated that the hotdogs were served in toasted New England style buns. The service was excellent too. We also got to meet the owner who was out chatting with customers when he wasn’t in the back cooking. We loved that the whole place is decorated with dog art, photos of the owner’s dog, and pictures of his customers’ dogs. He also donates a portion of his profits to dog rescue. What’s there not to love?

Nicest staff I think we ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Our Airbnb didn't have power, and we are from two states over. We arrived close to close (on accident) at a loss to find some warm dietary friendly food and figure out where we were gonna sleep with the ice storm and winter weather warning. The staff stayed open late. Helped us find vegan food options. Gluten free, nut free, dairy free and egg free food for my partner. And then helped us with the area to find a hotel, explain how many places were out of power, which attractions would be safe in the weather etc. They even got our dog a treat, which we were very grateful for. 10/10 if your visiting the area come here.
