When I walked up to the counter one girl was asking the other girl if she wanted more hours instead of asking me if she could help. Jokingly I said "I would." My joke was greeted with an icy stare like how dare you interrupt our private conversation. She continued to ignore me and continued her conversation saying to the other girl something about working Wednesday and when the other girl didn't answer I said "Yes, please" half joking and half trying to divert their attention from themselves to a customer, me. Now the ivy state doubled which I decided to ignore. I then went to the third girl and asked about fudge. She said the car show from the weekend cleaned them out and indeed about half the shelves were empty. I hope this is not the attitude of the folks around here as it sure seemed to deflate my jovial mod to one of feeling small and unwanted. Read moreZak & Mac's Chocolate Haus is a delightful destination for those with a sweet tooth. Boasting an ample selection of fudge, chocolate-covered baked goods, candies, and delectable ice cream. It's a treat to visit.
The staff here deserves a special mention. Their consistent, friendly demeanor and eagerness to accommodate requests (including offering samples) make each visit memorable. Always upbeat, cheerful, and attentive, they truly elevate the experience.
While the establishment doesn't offer public restrooms, its proximity to a nearby park – equipped with six individual family bathrooms – ensures visitors aren't inconvenienced. Allowed us to sample as much as as we wanted (don't take advantage of that deal, y'all) which allowed us to pick exactly what we knew we'd love. The parlor was clean and spacious, there wasn't much of a line when we went in, but there was when we finished and headed out. However, the line was taken care of very quickly, so I don't imagine there's ever much a wait.
Big fan, will absolutely recommend. Also, $2 scoops on Tuesdays! So it didn't even break the bank. :) 10/10,...
