I had breakfast at Cruz Bay Landing during my trip to St. John, and it was easily one of the best meals of the entire vacation. Whether you’re an early riser looking for a hearty start to your day or just in the mood for a relaxing island morning, this spot has you covered.
The breakfast menu is impressive with classic favorites with a tropical twist. I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict, and it was outstanding. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked, the crab cakes were full of real crab meat and the hollandaise was smooth and flavorful. My friend had the Coconut French Toast, and after one bite, I was jealous sweet, rich, and topped with fresh fruit and just the right touch of syrup. Coffee was fresh and strong, and they also offer great smoothies and fresh-squeezed juices.
The service was warm and welcoming. Our server made us feel right at home, checking in just enough and keeping our coffee mugs full. You can tell the staff enjoys being there it makes a difference.
We sat outside on the patio, enjoying the morning sun and people watching as Cruz Bay started to wake up. The vibe is laid back and friendly, perfect for easing into a day of island adventures.
Whether you’re fueling up for a hike in the national park or just want to enjoy a delicious, relaxing breakfast by the harbor, Cruz Bay Landing is the place to go. It’s the kind of breakfast spot that makes you want to come back the next morning and we...
Read moreNever have I experienced such terrible and rude service; my one star is purely because the manager came forward and made things right. We are on vacation and stopped at the creamery for ice cream, which we promised kids all day. We approached the counter and no one was there - two ladies came from the back. There were 12 different ice creams available in the window; our 5-yr olds quickly went for the colorful “Superman” variety. Our waitress refused to scoop it as it was too hard and offered chocolate or strawberry. The girl and her colleague expressed they are not gonna “break their wrists” with hard ice cream and used several “f*%#” phrases to to argue with us. The experience was shameful and damaging to my children. We asked why it’s in the window if it’s not able to be served and suggested warm water on the scoop to help - that delivered more “f-bombs” and incredibly rude behavior in front of our children. We asked to speak to a manager who quickly sent them to the back and delivered two wonderful scoops of ice cream to our children, with a warm scoop. As a business owner, I have never seen such laziness and rude behavior from any employee and would have fired them on the spot (and in 20 yrs, iv’ e only fired two). I can say the ice cream was good; I cannot speak for the rest. Management may be great; employees...
Read moreWhile on vacation on St. Thomas my hubby and I decided to take the car barge for a day trip to St. John. We left early so we could spend the entire day in St. John and not feel too rushed which meant we were more than ready for breakfast when we got to St. John. I had Cruz Bay Landing in my sights because I saw that they had a vegan breakfast scramble. Parking was a little tough to find in the Cruz Bay Area but after driving past the restaurant a few times and finally finding a spot we walked a short distance to Cruz Bay Landing. They were pretty busy by the time we got there but we were able to get two seats at the bar which was totally fine by us because we ended up meeting someone who had just moved to St. John and we had a very nice conversation with him the entire time!! Now let’s talk about that food! Omg the vegan scramble was delish (Although a bit runny so maybe they didn’t press the tofu enough? But still good) and my husband got a Benny with an almond milk mocha latte. Also I was stoked to get a frozen almond milk chai latte and have marble rye toast! It’s not my fave toast, (sourdough is) but it’s definitely next on the list. The service was great too! Everyone was very friendly. We had a lovely time and definitely plan to return to Cruz Bay Landing whenever we vacation again...
