You’re not fooling anyone; those are sauce cups not meat cups.
First, the staff is extremely unprofessional, they just ignore you. When they do talk, it’s too yell loudly at each other or the guests. We had to ask for waters, silver wear, and rice and when we did, the waitress acted like we were the biggest inconvenience. When someone in our group spilt a drink I went to the counter to grab napkins (because our table was never given any) and she just looked at me, walked away into the kitchen, grabbed towels and stormed to our table. She refused to acknowledge that I had even said anything to her and left me standing at the counter. The only time a staff member acknowledged our group was when it was time to pay. He had no problem coming to our table to cheerfully cash us out (The same guy who was yelling at everyone).
The food was almost as bad as the staff. Our group was told to keep the meat and veggies separate. They never specified which bowls to use for the meat. Turns out the tiny bowls that don’t even look large enough to put sauce in were for the meat. The guy at the grill took no time to yell at me about the miscommunication and made me feel very uncomfortable. The bowl was hardly filled up and he made a huge deal about it. Asked for shrimp and scallops in mine, there was two of each. They also took no time to yell at two of my friends and even attempted to snatch the bowl from my other friend. If the burnt meat doesn’t make you lose your appetite, watching the overweight man sweat all over your food will.
The restaurant itself is a dump. It’s dirty and unorganized. The kitchen looks disgusting. The food is scattered everywhere and I would not be surprised if I woke up sick tomorrow. This place takes the prize of the worst place I have ever visited. The whole experience was tip toeing around the staff not to get yelled at and to get out as quick as possible.
Negative 100 stars would be too generous...
Read moreLoved the atmosphere and cute location, waitress was very friendly and informative. A wide selection of vegetables and proteins (though I couldn't find tofu and was too shy to ask lol) and very tasty vermicelli noodles. It was filling and I had to take the rest of my food to go, on the first plate. I really appreciate the little sticks that customers are asked put in their bowl to avoid cross contamination when its cooking. The restaurant was lively and it seemed like the staff were able to keep up with all the busy energy quite well.
The food was good, but I accidentally ate something with gluten in it (I am gluten sensitive, thankfully not allergic). The sauces were not very clearly labeled in my opinion, but it's possible I just read them wrong, and that I reached for the wrong type of sauce by accident. But I worry that possibly there was some sort of cross contamination somehow, as I noticed there were no lids on the sauce containers and they were placed very close together, and the spoons/containers for each type of sauce were not labeled - just the glass visor above was labeled. I am doing okay despite the accidental gluten consumption but I wish that it didn't happen.
May I also reccomend adding more extra spicy sauces!! :) I'd love to come back here again sometime if I ever get the chance to, and try something again. It smells great the moment you walk in and it's pretty neat to watch the chefs cook your food with care & passion. Love the location as a whole and the atmosphere...
Read moreA really great choice for omnivores and vegans alike! A more "interactive" meal, as you get to pick all the ingredients for your stir fry bowl, cooked on a large, flat, round grill. You put all your veggies, sauces, meats, eggs and whatever else you can pile in the bowl and add your stick w your name on it and set it down near the grill. The staff behind the selection bar not only keeps the area clean and organized, but all the ingredients are well marked on the protective glass so you know exactly what's what. I had a few questions and they were incredibly helpful and friendly. They even made some good suggestions based on the questions I was asking.
You then sit back at your table while your food is being cooked. They have a pretty good selection of wines and beers, as well as soft drinks, of course. They even put out coloring books for the kids. The one price includes everything but your drinks. An interesting flatbread will come with your bowl if you put a yellow stick in it prior to cooking. It was tasty, but a little too oily for my taste. On the positive side, our friendly server asked us if we wanted brown rice or white rice and served us an ample supply for our table in a big bowl. We got hot steamed brown rice that was cooked to perfection. We mixed it all together, ate our fills and still had plenty to take home for an easy to heat portion that was enough for lunch...
