Perennial Accents — Local services in Saint Joseph

My friend told me about this place. I drove a long way ( she normally does also) to shop. The women were not eager to help and in fact we’re almost discouraging, saying oh that’s not for sale it’s a prop. Begrudgingly, after several sighs she said it’s not even on the price list and then turned it over and said it’s $65. The store just opened and then said we’re closing the back to reset it ( one would think they would have done that either before or after store hours or would be able to work around customers as I was the only customer in there) I asked if I could be quick before they close down the back room and the woman said no and put a chair in front of it. And then stood there talking so I just decided to leave. What could’ve been several thousand dollars was just $65. I went around the corner thinking I could’ve spent my money in the Sister store but that door wasn’t even open maybe the grouchy lady could’ve gone there and not help people or...

Perennial Accents is an adorable kitchen store in downtown St. Joseph. With an assortment of colorful utensils, unique cookbooks, flavorful salsa and extremely cute aprons you are sure to find something you have to have.

I personally love the cute silicone covers for bowls. They are usually decorated as flowers or fruit, suction very well to the bowls, and they come in various sizes. I also appreciate the colorful knives, my favorite being the watermelon knife that not only has a green handle, pink blade and cute outs that look like seeds on the handle but also is long and really great quality. Yes, it does cut thru a watermelon really well.

The staff is helpful but not pushy. They greet you with a smile and offer assistance. They are willing to answer questions-make sure to ask about any future cooking classes because they do hold them here on occasion. Definitely stop in here for a unique kitchen...

Gotta keep this relevant. Never have I ever been to a store where the manager is mad because the store has customers 🤷‍♀️ Never have I ever been into a store where the merchandise that is displayed and has prices somehow is not for sale 🤔 Never have I ever been into a business of any sort where I walk in, anticipating spending several hundreds of dollars on gifts and had the (very nice lady behind the counter) hold onto some really inexpensive items because I was making a huge list of pillow, candles, artwork and food items and left without one thing 🤭 Never will I ever be back to this ridiculous...
