Extraordinary gear hub! I randomly found Wanderlust through the Osprey website as they're a licensed pro shop (awesome), but was blown away but just how well stocked they were in all things hiking, camping, backpacking, out-of-doorsing. Even better than the selection and competetive prices, though, was the attention to detail from staff from first phone call to verify stock to actually visiting and working through my Osprey selection. Scott was above and beyond to help me understand my bag and mentally "pack" it with my own gear so I'd feel confident and familiar when finally getting out again this summer. Other staff came through and checked the approach and for as well, they were not simply in their field to make a sale but truly outfit and equip their clientele for an enjoyable experience outside. I bought a pair of Chaco boots from this store; my husband purchased a pair of Olakais. First, I want to attest to the quality of the shoes that we purchased. They are truly great shoes! Extremely comfortable; and wonderful for aching runner's feet! I wanted to try a half of a size smaller on my boots and do a possible exchange. I walked in and was greeted by Brittany, who informed me that all sales were final but wanted to make sure that I received the boots that I desired. In other words, she would bypass the, "sales are final," to make sure that the boots that I purchase were ones that I could love. This level of service was amazing and was greatly appreciated. I was assisted by Justin who was attentive and concerned about making sure that I got what I was looking for. I love my shoes but more importantly was impressed with their service. Thank you guys! My family and I were driving up to Charlevoix from Chicago to go camping on Beaver Island for a week. We needed a camp stove and had our eye on a particular model online. We looked up online if there were any local shops en route who carried it and found this place. As a bonus, their website showed the stove was 25% off!!! So we took a quick detour and ran into Wanderlust Outfitters. Oh man! I wanted everything in this small curated gem. I stayed focused on the stove and was checking out when the cashier mentioned that the item wasn't on sale, that the website must have a glitch, but that he would speak with his manager. She came right over and honored the 25% off, no problem. I was shocked! This is the kind of customer service that will keep little shops alive in this time of online shopping dominance.
