First time staying here, amazing location that makes everything easily walkable. The staff is very friendly, coffee is available all the time and they bake cookies fresh in the lobby. We ordered food from The restaurant the first night, a Bistro burger with fries and the panko crusted Cauliflower with whipped Blue cheese. First thing I realized is they didn’t give us any silverware or napkins which was a bummer because the cauliflower was covered in sauce and we wanted to cut the burger in half because we were sharing. I ordered the burger well done I took one bite. It tasted very good but the inside was still pink and I do not eat my ground beef pink. My boyfriend does so it wasn’t a big deal. I just gave him the whole burger and ate some of the fries, the cauliflower was so good but could have used more blue cheese, it was a giant order of cauliflower which was great but they only gave us one little blue cheese. Overall though the meal was good. The parking situation is a little interesting because we paid I think $327 a night to stay there and parking is a free for all with the exception of July 4th, they did block off the parking lot and only let people in that had a key card but still advised us not to move our car because we probably wouldn’t get another spot that day. We only moved our car twice the 4 days we were there and one time we did have to park on the street because there was no room in the parking lot because it’s open to anyone. The room was nice and we had a beautiful view, awesome water pressure and a very comfortable Bed! My kids slept on the pull out mattress in the couch and both woke up feeling absolutely broken, they for sure phoned that in—the mattress is about 3 inches thick. If anyone is going to be sleeping on that bad boy for any amount of time I would recommend just throwing the mattress on the ground because otherwise you feel like you’re just sleeping directly on the metal bars holding up the pull out. Overall it was a good experience and again you cannot beat the location...
Read moreWe stayed here for a wedding and the charged both the bride and myself for my room. When we noticed after leaving, we called to straighten it out and they refused to refund either of us so I had to contact my credit card issuer to get it fixed. ||||The hotel rooms themselves are very run down. The refrigerators are loud and cranky, decor out-dated, pillows cheap and lumpy, and the a/c doesn’t work well.||||During our stay we called for maintenance because our shower was broken and sprayed water clear over the entire bathroom, making the floor very slippery and dangerous. Maintenance came and did nothing but tell us that is how the shower is and we would have to deal with it. ||||We also called to request housekeeping during our stay as they do not offer it unless requested. They insisted that we had to leave the room before housekeeping arrived so we took my aging father and carted him around town with his cane for several hours. ||||When we returned, our room was exactly as we had left it. Housekeeping never came. We called the front desk and were told it was too late to get housekeeping at that time even though it was just after 1pm local time.||||Others in our party were advised they could not rent a single room for themselves but had to pay for an entire suite for one guest. We blocked off a number of both single rooms and suites for our party but all who reserved early were forced into suites, regardless of party size. Those who reserved rooms later were able to get single rooms, although earlier parties were told those were all booked. I see this as the hotel being dishonest in order to ensure the expensive rooms filled up first.||||The restaurant is excellent but I would never stay at this hotel again and I certainly would never utilize this place for any kind of event where I want my guests to be comfortable. For $500+ a night we could have stayed in a much nicer hotel and we were extremely disappointed at how we were treated before, during, and after our stay...
