I was here one time ever! That day they weren’t even open cause Idalia hit our cost just a day earlier. They weren’t open for obvious reasons!
This is a waterfront bar on the channel that connects Sunset Beach and Treasure Island! I have drove by this bar so many times both on water and on land and yet this was my first visit. Considering it was under water just 2 months ago they did an incredible job restoring the establishment, getting all of the Sand out of it and updating the kitchen to be fully stainless steel!
The Bar Speed rack was not in correct order that day but I wasn’t behind the bar. I fell in love with the mermaid vibe on the inside when I went to the bathroom! I spent most of my time taking in the water view with my sister!
We discussed business, family and dreams as we shared a quite brunch on a Tuesday morning! I even got to share my newest art with her and we are designing her own special Sharkstooth Tara cigar purse! We prayed openly without fear of retribution or ridicule.
Our Server is as wonderful, she even talked us into the Salad style bloodyMary! They were amazing!!!!
I enjoyed the cold Shrimp Cocktail appetizer. I was a little disappointed when I only saw 5 jumbo shrimp but it was just enough protein for me to feel comfortable having a second Bloody Mary and I rarely drink more than one.
My sister enjoyed one of the breakfast trays! I’m telling you that as a former vegetarian the bacon made my mouth water. I eggs looked cooked to perfection and my sister cleaned her whole plate. She doesn’t normally eat that way. She usually brings half of it home lol.
She picked the place because she’s had so many business lunchens there she wanted me to try it! We usually hangout at my house when she comes into town. It was wonderful to get out as a local who lives here and rarely goes out accept to work, church and a random beach Sunday!!!
I even got to introduce her to some of my new business partners! It was such a short but perfect visit and she picked this place. The perfect for the two of us place to reconnect!!!
Thank you for such a positive experience and...

Buoys Waterfront Grill - Saint Pete, Florida: A Waterfront Gem
Buoys Waterfront Grill in Saint Pete is a delightful discovery, perfectly situated on the waterway with a picturesque view of boats gracefully navigating the inlet. This charming location is a major draw, offering both tourists and locals a serene and scenic setting to enjoy a meal.
The atmosphere at Buoys Waterfront Grill is undoubtedly its most compelling feature. Whether you're a visitor or a resident, you'll find this spot ideal for a relaxing brunch. Our recent visit included a selection of typical brunch fare, and the experience was nothing short of delightful. The servers were exceptionally accommodating, willing to make substitutions and add-ons to ensure each patron's satisfaction.
Buoys Waterfront Grill is also considerate of various dietary preferences, making a genuine effort to cater to vegetarian and health-conscious diners. During our visit, I opted for additional eggs and avocado, which were fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. There was nothing to fault in the entire experience, and I would leave it up to future visitors to form their own opinions. However, based on my experience, I would certainly revisit this establishment.
It's worth noting that visiting Saint Pete requires embracing its beach town vibe. The atmosphere is relaxed, with patrons often on holiday or simply enjoying the laid-back local lifestyle. Restaurants in the area, including Buoys Waterfront Grill, adhere to this leisurely pace. If you're in a hurry or lack the patience to unwind, this might not be the ideal venue for you.
In conclusion, Buoys Waterfront Grill offers a wonderful ambiance and a menu that caters to diverse tastes. Enjoy the views, savor the well-prepared dishes, and soak in the relaxed beach town atmosphere. This is a spot where lingering over a meal is not just allowed...
Read moreI live in the area, however had never gone to Buoys. We had friends visiting so decided to try the restaurant. We ate inside upstairs which was extremely loud. I guess that's to be expected, but still annoying. Our waiter seemed to always be in a hurry and never refilled our beverages unless we chased him down to ask. The Calamari appetizer was shared and let me tell you this was the smallest appetizer amount that I have seen. The Calamari was only 'okay'. I will say the waiter did mention that the peppers were hot. Well, these 'hot' peppers were in a small dish with some fried red peppers, which were good. I accidentally grabbed one of the 'hot' peppers and let me tell you, this was the worst experience of 'hot' I have every had. My husband had to go to the bar to get milk. I could not even talk. Suggestion, maybe put those hot peppers in a dish by themselves or only serve upon requests, otherwise that is a waste. The food, everyone at the table had a grouper sandwich with the exception of myself. The grouper did seem to be okay for all of them. One had a salad as a side, one had the coleslaw and one had the fries. It looked like there were 10 fries on this plate, it was pitiful looking. Our friend said the taste was fine. I had the crab cake appetizer. The flavor was good, nothing special, but what was awful is that with every bite I had to remove a piece of shell from my mouth. That was quite annoying. Our waiter only appeared to ask to clear plates and if we wanted dessert, not everyone was actually done at this point. We said no and he he brought the check and we never saw him again until we paid. I will not return as it was not special enough and the price...
