After all the sightseeing in St Pete Beach, we were hungry and found Crabby Bill's Seafood restaurant. It is a 2 story older building with a parking lot in the front. To get inside, you can take a set of stairs or use the very, very long uphill handicap ramp that winds around a few times. I am 76 years old and am disabled. Somehow I made it up that ramp and was inside a small lobby. My daughter was with me. We asked an employee where the elevator was and she said it wasn't working and pointed to the steep stairs that we needed to climb to get to the top where the outdoor restaurant was. I couldn't believe my eyes! Another couple then showed up and were upset there were no elevators available for his disabled wife! The husband told the employee that they were in violation of the federal regulations for handicap access. I explained I would have a very difficult and painful time trying to get up those stairs but the employee didn't care. All 4 of us were so hungry and hot (92 degrees outside) that we decided to carefully and slowly take one step at a time and hang on to the banister to pull ourselves up. See the pictures of the stairs that I posted going up and going down. We made it to the top and after resting, we were seated. This is why I gave the restaurant 3 stars instead of the 5 that I would have given. I still had to get down those stairs after our meal.
The food was great for a dive bar!! Super delicious Fish and Chips with Cole slaw, Peel n Eat Shrimp and Alaskan King Crab legs . That definitely hit the spot for us. We would definitely return if the elevator is ever fixed.
Our waitress,, Stacey, was wonderful. Attentive. Energetic. Friendly. Thank you!
The rooftop was fun sitting at, had a great view, was sunny and windy. The place was busy.
I managed to get down those stairs but did spend the next 2 days of precious vacation time in bed. Not happy about that.
Easy parking and the lot is big. If you have a disability, please call first to see if you can safely get up to the rooftop. If you can, it...
Read moreI have been coming to this Crabby Bills on ST. Pete Beach for several years when im in on vacation and have always been happy with the service & the food until this July 2025...What a let down. Every year we sit on the patio upstairs outside and get great service & great food, this year we got horrible service and the food was just okay, nothing I'd recommend someone go for and nothing I'd return for unfortunatly. Im guessing either the waitstaff quit, hasn't been hired and management leaves it to the patio bartender to wait on all the patio customers (which would be disgraceful if thats the managers plan) but thats what we experienced the other night, the bartender was 1 of 2 employees waiting on the patio customer (and it was fairly busy). We ordered our food from the bartender who came over from the bar, we got our food served from Im guessing a kitchen staff employee and after served we were never checked on to make sure orders came out correctly (they did not) until 40 mins after being served and now we're done and we need our bill. The mahi mahi sandwich was good but I had asked for a side of mayo and never received nor did bartender ever check on us after food was served by kitchen staff), the clam chowder was meh but edible and we had wanted more drinks but after 40 mins of no one coming over we decided we'd go elsewhere for more cocktails. I guess we had a goid riide coming here several times during our previous 30 day vacations over past several years but this time we came the 1 night and decided not to return again due to the poor service, sad that "Good things really do come to an end" and Crabby Bills just proved this!. And to be honest I lay the blame soley on the owners & the managers. Sad that this is no longer a place 'lll be looking forward to visiting nor going...
Read moreCrabby Bills is a no frills place for seafood. If you’re looking for a spot on the beach (especially if you’ve been out all day and ready for a beer (or margarita) and seafood this is the spot. Inside and outdoor seating.
Drinks: OG margarita & Spicy Jalapeño Margarita. Both great, and would definitely order them again.
Appetizers: Onion rings, steamed Upeel shrimp and hush puppies. Onions rings were perfectly cooked and oil was HOT , they came out fast and crispy (also $9.50 for a entire tray of onions rings is a steal), Upeel shrimp was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the hush puppies were just plain old hush puppies no crazy seasoning or stuffed with anything (honestly prob my fav part of meal lol but I love hush puppies.
Entree 1: Fried Shrimp, Fish (upgraded to Grouper & crab cake) and scallops- sides french fries and coleslaw. Shrimp wasn’t the favorite but the grouper, crab cake and scallops were great, fries okay nothing crazy and unfortunately coleslaw was too sweet for our liking. Grouper was perfectly seasoned and cooked definitely worth the upgrade.
Entree 2: Big crab duo; Sampling of snow crab and Dungeness with steamed shrimp, potatoes, corn and sausage with butter/creole sauce. Crab and shrimp cooked perfectly & worth the trip. Sausage, corn and potatoes were great with the homemade creole sauce-well seasoned and not too salty which I was nervous about and almost asked for it on the side instead of over everything. Worth the $$ and scratched the itch for seafood after a day at the beach.
Service was top notch everyone spoke to us , asked if we needed anything and kept the water topped off. Jamie & Jorge thank you for a great first time experience at...
