La Dolce Vita Trattoria St Pete Beach — Restaurant in Saint Pete Beach

Spectacular food, service and atmosphere. From the moment we walked in and realized actual Italians run this restaurant, we knew we were in for something special. Tons of wine options but I opted for the aperol spritz which was perfectly refreshing. They do bread service with a delicious dried tomato spread. We got the burrata and Parma ham appetizer which we both loved. For our main dishes, I went with the amatriciana and my wife had the truffle ravioli. Both dishes transported us back to our honeymoon in Italy. The ravioli had actual truffle shaved over the top. It was rich and decadent. The service was also top notch. Very kind and attentive servers and everyone in the restaurant seemed to be happy. Special shout out to Gianna our server and the chef Luigi. If I lived near by I'd be here once a week. Unfortunately I do not so locals, don't let this place down! It's too special...

Long time locals of St Pete Beach…..40 yrs. Decided to give this place a try and sorry to say we won’t go back. I ordered the gnocchi, it had absolutely no flavor. My husband ordered Veal parm, it was just “ok” he couldn’t eat the pasta it came with because it was drowning in the sauce. 10.00 for a side salad that was a half a bowl of romaine lettuce with tomatoes and a few slivers of parmigiana. I don’t know if the AC wasn’t working properly but both tables on either side of us complained about how hot it was. They also had issues with the service, one had two orders completely wrong the others waited for their check so long they finally had to go get it themselves. Bottom line, overpriced, very mediocre food, poor service and uncomfortable atmosphere. We should have stuck with our tried and true “ Tuttorussos ” on...

Everything was amazing from the food to the service. Nicholas was polite, attentive and one of the best servers we have ever had. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. The food was authentic and delicious. When you go (and you DEFINITELY should) start with the salumi misti. The board for 2 fed 4 of us easily. We had the pasta vongole, the scampi la dolce vita and the grilled salmon all of which were incredible. The show stopper was the whole branzino which was served tableside and was absolutely delicious. Even though we were stuffed we couldn't leave without trying dessert.
