Waffle House — Restaurant in Saint Pete Beach

it was dirty, it took our waiter about 20mins to come ask us our drinks, and no one else was on there. our table was nasty( all of them was, cleaned it with a baby wipe) we knew what we wanted. so we told him our drinks 3 cokes, 2 sweet teas, 1 coffee, 1 apple juice. 3 waffles with peanut butter chips, 1 scattered hasbrowns, can't remember what my oldest daughter and mom got, my husband got 2 eggs, ham, toast, and hasbrowns. no problem doing that. we waited and waited, waited for drinks. My son asked me "mom am I ever gonna get a drink my thirty. not to mention how hot it was outside and in side. So our food starts coming to the table. mind you still no drinks. and after about half of our food is there he brings us water and says, "coke is out and he don't know how long he has on the tea, but here's you a water." So we asked what there was and the answer was half of it is empty. So my husband says just give us what ever u have bv we both can't drink water when we eat, has to have some type of flavor. so after another 15mins he brings 3 of us drinks. and we had to ask about the other 2 and my 2yr old daughters apple juice that's in the fridge right across from their table. he said oh yeah il grab it. we literally got it when we asked for 3 to go containers. my son got his waffle at the end so I just let him eat my waffle bc he was sitting there watching every one else eat. he never did get the cup of coffee he ordered. got charged 3.00 for a soda he didn't want and told the waiter no I don't want a soda il wait. he drank the water that he brought that tasted odd so he took a sip and said I'll wait for coffee. but after we all gave up waiting on stuff I asked for the check. and sure enough we got charged for everything. we waited almost 20mins for take home containers. and never got them and asked like 3 times. this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. I will make sure to never go back to this location. we go to Waffle House every week on Friday...

Okay I just want to take this time to thank Linda for serving us late last night. My friends and I are from out of town visiting St. Pete's Beach and were hungry. We decided on the traditional fast food restaurants. We went to Taco Bells trying to order for a big group but they turned us away with attitude because they didn't want to make our order at that time of the night. We even offer to get a smaller order but you can hear the huff and puff from the person taking the order from drive thru. I expressed my discontent at the provided service and then a lady, perhaps the shift manager, yelled back they're not going to serve us. At this point we didn't want spit in our food and so we drove off. We drove to a 24hr McDonalds but with my luck with how the night was going, McDonald's was closed. We drove down the street and came across the Waffle House. Linda was our saving grace. She went one by one and ensured our questions were answered. She went above and beyond, remembered all our order as one of the party member forgot her order. She even gave extra condiments to us, this meant so much to us and it just made our night. Wish I could give a - star. Everything started off great until I started to hear. The cooks cursing back and forth a each other. As I received my food both cooks walked off the line and started fighting in the back room. Now we have an abundance of curse words and one of the cooks ( I would presume the loser of the fight) is standing in the back kitchen with blood leaking out his face on the food and floor. Because I didn't want to add more drama to the scene of fire trucks and sheriff's, I paid for my food and tipped. I could no longer eat the blood grossed me out.

I filed a complaint to Waffle House corporation. I was called by a manager who called me to resolve my complaint but didn't offer any resolutions. The manager simply asked me what happened and waited for a play by play and then abruptly ended the conversation.
