Cappys was one of the first restaurants we went to after moving to the st pete area - & has been our go to spot since! The New York style pizza is so fricken good, but we’ve heard the deep dish is a must try too 🍕 Located in Historic Kenwood, St Pete! p.s. the bubblegum is the cutest touch #stpete #cappys #pizzalover #stpetersburg #tampaeats

Nice Saint Petersburg bungalow to Pizza joint conversion. Fits the neighborhood well. As for the pizza, the best way to judge is get a pure large cheese pizza. Had some higher expectations coming in seeing how busy the carry out business was. Absolutely non stop! As for dining in. Asked for iced tea but non was brewed and it was clear brewing some was not an option. So had to get a soda which I didn't really want. Upon the pizza arriving the aroma was nice as it was straight from the oven. The cheese was a bit light for a NY pizza in my opinion. The sauce was more on the bitter versus sweet side, which is fine for me. But the crust was a fail. The first had proper thickness and a proper doneness. But the pizza needed more tossing as the crust was very hard dough making eating the edges very nawing and tough. Certainly needed tossed more to get those crisp air pockets for the right texture. The crust was so firm, I have to say this pizza is one to pass on by for me. But I do enjoy the smell of the place.

Cappy's in Seminole Heights has the best vegan pizza in Tampa Bay, hands down. Unfortunately, this Cappy's is not the one in Seminole Heights. The restaurant isn't as chic, the servers are not as friendly, the options are not as plentiful (no tempeh or tofu here for vegans and they are outrageously skimpy on the cheese by comparison), and the pizza is not as good. Our non-vegan friends confirmed the same for at least the New York style pizza. There is nothing wrong with this Cappy's. It is perfectly acceptable and better than average pizza, but they could definitely learn from their counterparts in Seminole Heights, or even in Temple Terrace (but the Temple Terrace location also doesn't beat Seminole Heights). Though I live in St. Pete and I wouldn't hate my friends for taking me here, I gladly make the drive to the other location when I want the best vegan pizza around. I like this Cappy's. I would just like to see them step up their game.

The pizza is incredible. The staff have always been very polite. My boyfriend and I have ordered from Cappys a couple of times before. The food has always been phenomenal and the guy who works the front has always been kind. About three weeks ago we ordered a vegan veggie pizza and upgraded toppings. When we got home our order was incorrect. We have both worked in food service so we totally understand and it was no big deal. My boyfriend called in and asked to be refunded the difference in toppings. Instead of refunding, he offered to credit us for a free pizza. We weren't expecting and certainly didn't ask for that but we thanked him and that was that. About three weeks later, today, we called in to use our credit. We were told our credit had already been used and signed off by a manager? I'm not sure how many Teresa's who order vegan pizzas there are in St. Pete but we insisted we had not used it. He ended up giving it to us. This made me extremely uncomfortable. When we went in we had every intention of explaining we haven't even been in there in the last three weeks, and did not use it. He said he doesn't know what happened but a manager signed off on it that we used it and just to let us know "it's burnt" we can't use it again. Uhm okay? I don't know what kind of verification system they use to make sure it's the correct person/order but it certainly was not me. Maybe they should consider using a phone number, email, anything to verify it's the correct person they are signing off on. It made two people so uncomfortable we will not be going back. Feeling like you're scamming a place and being treated like you're trying to get one over on a restaurant when you're honest, hardworking people is so awkward and...

Cappy’s Pizza St. Pete – A Slice of Heaven in Authentic Kenwood!

Cappy’s Pizza isn’t just pizza—it’s a whole experience! Nestled in the heart of Authentic Kenwood, a super stunning heritage location full of charm and character, this spot is a must-visit. Walking into Cappy’s feels like stepping into a retro treasure, and the pizza? It’s hands-down the BEST in St. Pete, no contest. The flavours transported me straight back to those dreamy cobblestone streets of Italy.

Everything here is ridiculously fresh, from the toppings to the cheese, but the real star? That base. Oh. My. Goodness. It’s perfection—crispy, airy, and downright addictive.

And a huge shoutout to Abbi, the absolute rockstar of a server! She made the whole experience even better with her upbeat vibe and stellar recommendations. Her energy matched the funky, laid-back atmosphere of Cappy’s, and she clearly loves what she does.

If you’re in St. Pete and not soaking up the vibes in Kenwood while devouring a Cappy’s pizza, you’re doing life wrong. Mark my words—this is where pizza...
