I used to be a regular, but now Iāve been banned for some reason when I showed up to pay a day fee, I used to be a monthly member lol, itās pretty ridiculous. A blonde haired woman named Kameron really upset me as a paying customer who has tried to be respectful, attacked my character and made a false claim about me. I just left because I donāt feel comfortable there with people who are fake nice outside of Kristopher and am not a confrontational person.
There was a lot of turnover there in the staff over the 5 or so months I went regularly. I wanted to say hi to my friend Kris since he loves my dogs Tony & Paulie and I go to pay a day fee, and this evil woman named Kameron, who has always snarled at me ever since I first encountered her a few months ago and makes me really uncomfortable, told me āyouāre not allowed in hereāā¦
Iāll admit I made a mistake one night probably 4 months ago, and got into an argument with a man about Ivermectin (he declared all evidence I produced false and I was wasting my time and energy getting a little loud speaking facts about itās benefits for humanity), he got hysterical and then it was me who walked out of the bar, and the guy complained - there are a lot of people who hate God and trust government on Central Ave. They have no mercy on people and no loyalty, I was never anything but nice to Natalie the owner and everybody who worked there, and after people started making ridiculous claims against me I was always very shy and kept to myself because it felt like I was walking on eggshells, and then I walked in today and they tell me Iām not allowed in there anymore .
Theyāre mostly rude aside from Denis the bartender and Kris who works in the pool with the dogs and is a great guy! One day I was there and a man cursed my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I very gently said āoh you shouldnāt use the Lordās name in vain like that.ā Big mistake! He snarled back āoh, Jesus is your Lord?ā All I said back was āheās yours too, if youāll accept Himā¦heās the only way to heavenāā¦.for that the man tattle tailed to Natalie the owner, and I was pretty heartbroken when she took me aside as if she was bringing me into the principalās office to tell me about this complaint rather than stand up for Christ! She claimed that she loves God, but clearly this led to me no longer being allowed at the bar despite being a regular (4-5 times a week) always spending money on beer/food. Itās pretty sad when you think about it, the petty childish behavior of somebody when it comes to what I said about Jesus, it was pretty disturbing the way the man hated me for defending Jesus and trying to simply point someone toward Him, and itās used to crucify me so to speak, but Iāll pray for him and for Natalie the owner, these people are being deceived.
Jesus said: āI have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.ā āāJohn⬠ā16ā¬:ā33⬠āNIVā¬ā¬
The last probably 10 times I was there, I had no issues, so being told I wasnāt allowed in anymore was shocking, but not surprising, I think it was my belief in Jesus Christ that pushed these women over the edge.
Thereās a lot of people with wicked spirits who work there, especially Kameron who is a very mean-spirited woman who gave me the creeps and never smiled at me once in probably 10 total encounters. She broke the unfortunate defamatory news to me today, and I smiled and left because they donāt deserve my businesses anymore anyway. They are fake nice except for my friend Kris who is genuine. Some people like Kameron and Natalie the owner clearly are offended by me standing up for Jesus, so Iām glad that I donāt have to go back anymore. I donāt really drink anymore but they charge too much for beers, they charge you $20 per dog per month, which is ridiculously high, considering the lack of respect and loyalty.
I honestly donāt care about them losing more business nor do I want them to, I wish no ill will on anyone, itās just unfortunate that people are so offended...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTHIS BUSINESS OVER-SERVES ALCOHOL TO IT'S HUMAN PATRONS AND ALLOWS AGGRESSIVE DOGS! I live in the area and have a direct line of sight to Mutts and Martinis. This is the fourth time I've been accosted when walking near by one of their drunken customers. Today, as a lady was leaving, she barely could hold the dog's leash and was wobbling trying to use Mutts and Martinis' fence to hold herself upright. As her dog was acting aggressively, I asked that she pull her dog back. The lady began verbally assaulting me and got into her white Toyota SUV. After she sped off going westbound on Central Avenue, she flipped me off and called me derogatory slurs. Then the drunken woman spun her car around, almost hitting another patron leaving Mutts and Martinis, to honk her horn as she flipped me off again! All of this occurred around 6:45p today and it's not the first instance with a Mutts and Martinis customer. They routinely over-serve their customers on a daily basis.
This was the FOURTH TIME an inebriated person has been seen leaving this establishment, getting into a car, driving off and getting belligerent. It's the first time I went in and asked to speak with the owner too. When I told her about what happened tonight, also letting her know about past similar experiences, she outright stated they only serve 1.25 ounces of alcohol per drink. I asked how many drinks a person is allowed and she told me "we don't limit that". And, in my humble opinion, the owner herself was drunk tonight! She became very abrasive and defensive and, to be honest, it was hard to understand her as she was slurring profusely. Obviously they don't monitor the customers because the owner is drunk herself.
This is how the business is ran -- by someone who, by all likely guesses, appears drunk and uncaring about the neighborhood in which she is conducting business!
She didn't offer any assistance or ask if I needed anything after the verbal assault. In fact, instead of doing anything outside of denying all wrong doing, I saw her following me to see where I lived! Followed me to my personal space of living. Granted I felt she would so I didn't go to my actual townhome - nice try!
So now, after the owner and her staff member followed me, I will make due with what I told her moving forward. I will call 911 for each and every person (inebriated or not) stepping out of this establishment. I highly encourage ALL Grand Central and Historic Kenwood residents to do the same. Businesses and uncaring business owners DO NOT belong in our neighborhoods.
If you come to Mutts and Martinis you will have 911 called on your vehicle as you leave.
Sincerely, A very concerned resident of Grand...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really wanted to love it. The concept has had me excited for awhile, but it just isnāt quite there for my pups and me.
I have one small dog and one large dog. Because they only allow large dogs or small dogs in the off-leash area at one time (30 min increments), my dogs will not ever be allowed to be together meaning my husband and I canāt be in the pool area together at one time either. I found this out after I paid to enter, and there was no signage other than an employee loudly scolding someone when they tried to let their large dog enter during small dog time.
I thought maybe theyād allow people to accept the liability at their own risk, but I frequently saw an employee harshly say to others, āsome of these dogs need to be out of hereā (paraphrasing but of that context) when small dogs were still in the pool area when it was large dog time. I also watched this same woman grab dogs while they played to stop them and take the toys put out for them by Mutts and Martinis away from them. Honestly, it seemed like she didnāt even enjoy being around dogs, and I was afraid to break any unwritten rule that she was enforcing.
If you need to separate small dogs from big dogs, why not create two pools? Thereās a parking lot on the side (not full despite many people there) that takes away from a larger off leash area. The check-in area when you first walk in was bigger than the off-leash area, and the employee that checked us in had to sit at a small table in a large empty room as waves and waves of guest came in circling her.
I also was shut out from the pool area when I tried to enter and when I tried to exit and had to ask permission to join my group when my dog was already inside or outside. Dogs were regularly escaping freely from the pool gate area when the gate was opened because there arenāt double gates like Iāve seen at other places like this throughout the U.S.
From a drink perspective, I ordered two cocktails and they were very low on alcohol or very cleverly disguised to not be tasted despite the $14 price.
The two employees I directly interacted with were super friendly other than the aforementioned woman, so I do really appreciate that.
Overall, it just doesnāt seem like the place was thoroughly thought out. Like I said, I really wanted to like this, but itās not...
