Dunkin' — Restaurant in Salem

This was my daily place to stop at get coffee a bagel or donut or something like that in the morning times either when I got off of work or off of a 16-hour shift or sometimes when I had to work in opposite going into work. But as of November 20th 2023 I've decided just to not go back there. I went in made a large order and something as small as a bagel that requested to be lightly toasted was burnt to crisp cream cheese not put on the bagel was thrown in the bag and I wasn't made aware of it so I wasn't looking for it I just noticed that the bagel didn't have any cream cheese on it I rolled back through drive-thru very politely asked hey my bagel was toasted too much and it didn't have any cream cheese on it initially the lady that responded was very polite it was like oh okay no problem we'll fix that but then whoever was working the toasting machine or whatever took the microphone over and had this really nasty attitude because I offended her by saying that it was made wrong or something and just started a verbal assault and belittling me and everything else because she in her own words stated that she didn't have time to put cream cheese on a bagel so she just put it in the bag because sometimes she does that. Via phone call later The manager had stated that is not what they're supposed to do and that's not how they do things apparently she remembered my order but didn't hear any of that conversation I didn't even get the food fixed because by the attitude and by the the Little League statements that the lady was given I was 100% certain that if I would have came back through the drive-thru and that woman would have fixed the food that she effed up to begin with I could guarantee there was probably going to be spit in it so for that I just can't I can't I'm being generous by giving it two stars until that woman is gone I won't be back to this establishment. Like who says things to their customers like " I ain't have time to put cream cheese on the bagel cause we busy, just put it on there yourself" and my favorite "oh you want me to put it on there for you? Go 9n head and drive round and give it here and I'll put it on there for you alright" (that last one lemme know extra spit was...

I rarely complain about any food service because I've worked for different restaurants for nearly 5 years so I know how it can go. But with a simple job: grabbing donuts and mixing coffee, I think it's difficult to mess up. I guess I was wrong. Went through the drive thru and gave her my order. When I got to the window she asked for my order again. I guess she couldn't hear me... Fine. It then takes over 5 minutes to grab a chocolate donut, a vanilla donut, and to mix an iced latte. On my way back out to 81 I try the latte: it's about 90% milk with just a splash of coffee. After two sips there was no coffee left. Then I grab the donuts. The chocolate one is good (only reason I'm leaving two stars.) Then I grab what I expect to be a vanilla donut... It's pink (strawberry.) Look, I know everyone has bad days, but after hearing my order twice and having a lot of time in between to "prepare" it, I expect it to be right. If you head to the counter or swing through the drive thru, check to see if your cashier has pink hair... Then double check your order...

My family are frequent patrons of the location in Salem, Virginia. We visit weekly sometimes daily because we love the breakfast menu and the plethora of drink options. There are a few associates that are pleasant to do business with but some of them need a lesson in good customer service. This last Friday's visit was the last straw! It's not the first time I've witnessed bad customer service here but sometimes they are down right rude. When we visited Friday we were on our way out of town for a weekend trip. We waited in the drive thru for way too long then when our order was ready the drive thru attendant opened the window and said "Here"! And thrusted the bag in my face. I paused for a moment to gather myself then took the bag, before I could say anything she had left the window. I would have asked for a refund but my daughters were hungry.
