China Buffet — Restaurant in Salisbury

China Buffet has a 93.5 Sanitation Grade and it is well deserved. We went for the lunch buffet on a Wednesday and the buffet was clean and very well stocked with a great variety of food. There were many other people eating. The seafood dishes really tasted of fish, which is a good thing if you're into that - my seafood deep fried roll was a little too fishy for me. The sesame chicken was juicy and just sublime. The grilled chicken was a bit dry and hard to get down. The soup station was a dream - you make your own combinations and the broths are really good! The salad station looked good, but we never made it that far. We only went as far as the fruit and dessert stations before realizing they had a Hibachi grill and a Sushi area! We totally missed out because by this point we were already full from eating at the hot bar buffet! Service was great! Our server kept our drinks refilled and kept our used plates removed. Very polite staff. The atmosphere is totally done in Chinese decor. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained. We are SO going back, especially for the "you pick your own items for the Hibachi grill" and they grill them for you section and the Sushi section. Granted, the Sushi section is small and doesn't have a huge array of items, but it's there. The Hibachi grill has a big selection of items to choose from and looks good. I may say that this place was nice and friendly. I would give this place a 4 star if I could but I just have to give it a 3. Yesterday evening I came here to eat with my mom and grandma I can say that the service was wonderful the lady which was our waitress was so friendly my mom can’t really speak English and our waitress could speak a little bit of Spanish which was really great. One thing that I really like about this buffet is that they really look out for people’s health especially with this virus before you can go in to sit down they have this machine that takes your temperature but also give you hand sanitizer which is really cool if you ask me, before you could go out and get food they also give you gloves which is a really good thing since everyone is touching the tongs. When I got my first plate the food was cold but lightly warm which is a really bad thing I really couldn’t enjoy my food neither could my grandma enjoy her food due to the food being cold. When we got our second plate the food was warm I think they had the heaters off so that the food could warm but I was relieved that the food was at least hot when I had got my second plate. I was planning to give this buffet a 4 but due to the food being cold I have to give it a 3. Seated quickly. Lovely inside. Service with filling beverages and cleaning off our table of our finished plates, satisfactory. Kind. Plenty of room for social distancing. Beverages fresh, tasteful. Large variety of foods. Every thing my wife & I had today was very good. We were not rushed. We came here a bit fatigued from working earlier. We needed to be home by 4pm. We stood in line at another restaurant for ten minutes before someone even acknowledged us being there. Another couple came in behind us after five minutes. Older than us. We're 50's 60's ish. We were told it would be a 15 to 20 minute wait & asked our names. All areas to sit & wait were closed for social distancing. There were so many tables and booths open, not even close to other people. I heard a waitress say to the hostess she was pulling a double. My wife is handicapped & has trouble standing long, or walking a lot. My wife thanked them & we declined & left. Hopefully the very elderly couple behind us got seated more quickly than this. Although I took pictures of the buffet, & my wife wrote down on paper what to bring her because she can't walk around that far, it was all worth it.
