Club Try-angles — Restaurant in Salt Lake City

this club is very limited… Not very great for supporting the community…. Absolutely horrible for people from out of state.. The manager, or whoever was in charge named Kevin very respectful… seem to really make an effort…. Way more than I can expect in situations like this….. that said it seems like this establishment would rather 100% comply with archaic laws and rules rather than support their community… I can also say amazing wonderful things about the person who work the door as a bouncer, very respectful, great, at describing what the issues were, had a wonderful demeanor…. Both the doorman and Kevin tried to be as mature, respectful and decent as they could even though lacking in accommodations just a tad…

However, the Dj needs to find a new job… This person prefers drama and making a scene rather than supporting their community…. When someone put a drink down near the DJ booth…. This self-centered person had to draw attention to everything and stop the music to make a big scene not the first time they did that in the night…..

No, where is it posted no drinks can be sat down near the DJ…. I suppose this toxic human being, who does not support LGBTQ expects people to be mind readers….

Now Utah has some very archaic laws that are not posted anywhere in the club… This is how we know this club is not gonna be the destinations for Queer’s in Salt Lake… A destination place would advertise archaic Salt Lake laws everywhere so no one would be in danger of violating such horrible statutes… major fail

Not to mention, these type of establishment should be on the forefront of lobby to change these kind of laws not just rolling over on it…

But make no mistake. Stay away from the dance floor at this club. Feel very safe with Kevin and the bouncer, but stay away from the dance floor…. If you don’t want to have immature, disrespectful, dirty looks rather than respectful adult conversation. Don’t interact with the DJ….. Not to mention, his music was all 30 years old and anyone, including Spotify or Pandora could do just as good of a job without the attitude… There will be more reviews of this Dj and whY to stay away from this establishment throughout the Internet… I’m sorry to Kevin, the bartenders and the door person/bouncer because they did a good job…

But they enable this toxic DJ, by not stopping him, not telling to treat people with respect and allowing him to still perform… This is a disservice to Queer people throughout the west, Utah, Salt Lake, and anybody wanting to visit these areas….

Apparently we’re here we’re queer get used to. It is not the tune of this establishment. Certainly not the obnoxious Dj….

They seem to follow the tune of please don’t make our behavior illegal. We’re happy to roll over and conform to whatever archaic laws Salt Lake and it’s religion decides to push on us….

Completely forgetting the fact that in this country, we have a separation of church and state and no city no bar no state should be run by a religious establishment….

Pretty disappointing it’s sad that this club is not at the forefront of supporting this community….. and rather helps to oppress the community…

I’ve been going to Club Tryangles since I first moved to the neighborhood over 6 months ago. I’d go every Thursday for Karaoke night. I made many friends there. Last October my ID expired so I wasn’t able to see said friends for months. It wasn’t until this past Thursday (three days ago as of me writing this) I got my temporary ID. I have the appointment confirmation to prove it. Kevin… what actually happened? You said you got complaints that I kept asking people for drinks for a week. I hadn’t been back a week. Did I ask A friend if he wanted to share a drink Thursday? Yes. I didn’t ask again after he declined. I’ve asked no one else. I went back Friday to see who was there and socialize. Had a lovely conversation with a scientist. I asked no one for drinks that night. I wasn’t going to go Saturday until my friend got depressed and thought him meeting new people might help. I have no idea where you’re getting this “week” thing from. I haven’t even been able to buy alcohol for a full week yet, let alone consistently break rules like that for a whole week. On the subject of tipping, I’ll be the first to admit I haven’t been a good tipper. And that I do apologize and take full responsibility for. I don’t understand why I would be never allowed to come back to Tryangles for it. But I very much understand the frustration. Especially if it’s a tipping only establishment as you mentioned. Does that mean you don’t get paid besides tips? If so then I apologize for my previous poor tipping behavior. I’d be more than happy to make it up to everyone working there. I noticed other reviews and while I don’t know the whole situation, I really hope this isn’t a regular pattern. People shouldn’t be kicked out of a community for things they either didn’t do, or things that got exaggerated. What happened while I was gone for those months before 3 days ago? Is the community I know and love slowly succumbing to controversy and drama? Again I apologize for any wrongdoing I actually did, like not tipping enough. But I will not tolerate being accused of things I hadn’t, at least not to the extent Kevin did. And if this is going to be a regular pattern at Club Tryangles, I hope people figure it out and form their own opinions. And if what I fear is the case, I hope people find a loving community wherever else they see fit.

Disgusting atmosphere. Horrible service and the owner is a distraction for the LGBT community. I won't ever come back and their bar is filled with roaches. I am not surprised by the awful rating on Google. Literally any bar in the area has better reviews and you should heed this warning ⚠️.

I am glad that this place is open. It serves a purpose in the community as a magnet for the few dirtbags that love this dumpster fires🔥. Any bar has better management than this one and the reviews reflect this. If you are a dirtbag then this is your bar.

Underwear night is the best part of this place but it's not worth lowering your energy to the few dirt bags that love dumpster fires 🔥. Everyone loves fires but if you are a good person save yourself and stay away from here..... There are some good people here but its not worth lowering your vibration to fit in..... The owner is heavily involved drama constantly. He feeds off twinks like an energy vampire and gets involved with drama and fake rumors like a cockroach 🪳.

Even if you are so desperate to visit this bar DO NOT go into the bathroom! It's like a scene from Saw 👀 🧟‍♂️ You just want to cut something off in order to get out of there. Even if it's a part of your body, you will realize it's better to sacrifice a part of yourself and get away then stay...
