Golden Gyros — Restaurant in Salt Lake City

Omg!!! Soooo good!!! Just tried this place for the first time! I loved it and will definitely be back!! I came in and was excited they added shrimp to the menu! So delish!! It was a little pricey for the side of shrimp $5 but I’m a huge fan of shrimp everything and I don’t mind. It was seasoned well and cooked perfect! The gyro was soo tasty and cooked to perfection! There was some bit that was crunchy and I’m not going to lie I actually really liked it like that!! Super fun! The salad was simple and I liked it. It did have carrots and bell peppers which I’m not a fan of but that’s okay the Ranch was fantastic! I also ordered a side of mushrooms. I’m very impressed.z when she brought it over.. she gave ample amount of ranch and side sauce which was sooo nice I didn’t have to ask for extra! Thank you!! I saw some young children come in and hug the cooks and went and sat down obediently and did homework. I loved it!!! I hope this is family owned because I love that I’m supporting a local family. Or if not at least I can be apart of supporting the cooks family environment. Good food! Great service. Good price! Very impressed will definitely be back with my own family....

Visiting SLC and wanted to find somewhere for lunch. Golden Gyros had tables open inside for dine-in, and tables on their front patio covered with umbrellas. Parking was easily accessible and there were lots of open spots. Food was reasonably priced, $12- $15 per person for a full meal, with drinks. I ordered the Greek gyro salad, and my husband had the classic gyro combo with fries. The salad was huge, had a great amount of meat on top of a fresh salad of lettuce, onions, olives, and feta cheese. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked, very flavorful. This was easily one of the most filling salads I've ever had. It came with a side of bread that was also delicious. My husbands gyro was stuffed with meat and fresh toppings. The tzatziki sauce was freshly made, the fries were hot and perfectly crispy. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for great greek food! THIS. PLACE. IS. FIRE!!!! New changes=amazing food. So I've been going here for a bit and it's always been good, but yesterday was AMAZING!!!! I'm not sure if they got a new head cook or what but everything was so so so good. Normally by the time I get home, if I haven't opened the container the fries are a little soggy and the pita an little damp. But this time I forgot and everything was still perfect! Fries, crispy. Pita, divine. Salad, excellent. Souvlaki, hot and so very soft and tender. I think part of it is because they wrapped the souvlaki in tinfoil to help not only keep the heat in, but the moisture too. Whatever you all changed please please keep it up. Most places lately have had an understandable downturn in quality so it's nice to see a place that has had a massive upswing....
