I started going regularly to Fisher’s last spring because I knew some people working there. In order to show my affinity for the place I actually bought 3 of their hats at $28 a piece. I was always very quiet and kept to myself. I went on a Thursday night last fall. I found an empty parking space on the street near the front of the brewery. I went in, had two beers, read a book and left to go home. When I went out, I found someone in a Porsche had parked directly in front of a fire hydrant in such manner to completely block me from leaving. I was very concerned and worried having no idea who had so inconsiderately parked this car as to block my leaving. I was particularly worried that even if I tried with utmost care and and hyper attention, I might, nonetheless, bump this expensive car or make contact with the car directly behind me. To protect myself, while standing on the sidewalk and road, I took pictures of this Porsche parked with such carelessness and recklessly. Suddenly, out of the side ( not the front entrance) a guy came running out who confronted me in a very belligerent manner to block me from taking pictures. He caused a scene. He kept saying that thePorsche was not his car, which made no sense to me. I could only guess he was acting on behalf of a friend. In retrospect, I suspect that the Porsche was his car. He never apologized. He tried to accuse ME of being intoxicated which was enormously ironic after the way this Porsche was parked, without holding the driver of the Porsche accountable. He actually said I could not leave! Finally, someone came out to move the Porsche. Next time I returned to this place I was very embarrassingly told to leave. I did not yell or draw attention to myself. I found out the guy who accosted me was one of the owners. This was an unforgettably painful and shocking experience causing me...
Read moreThis is a good choice if you're looking for a brewery to checkout while visiting SLC. It has a nice large open layout with some large overhead doors that open up as you'll find in many other breweries.
In speaking with some locals I was told that they felt this brewery had a solid lineup of goof beers and was one of their favorites. I'd have to agree with the few that I did try. If you didn't know, and I believe I have this correct, the draft beers are limited to 5 percent alcohol content while anything in a can is able to be stronger.
There is no food served at this location, BUT they do often have a food truck and as luck would have it there was a Mexican food truck there with some good eats at a decent price. I had a carne asada burrito for $12 and my buddy ordered a quesadilla for about the same price. Tasted great!
Try and make this a stop on your brewery visits in SLC for a good beer selection and I should mention that the staff was super friendly and fast... and one of them was pretty cute and into pics of...
Read moreWent for lunch because we heard our favorite food truck would be there. First, really hard to find parking. It was really confusing where the food truck was. We finally find the food truck and you have to go through the bar to get there. So we open the door, walk in the place and walk out. We go to order our food at Chow food truck which is pretty good. Then, this witch of a lady comes out and asks for our ID's. We aren't in the bar, we aren't going to drink. All we want is our favorite food truck Chow. My friend wasn't 21 and the witch demanded she leaves immediately. Once again, not in the bar, not going to drink. She then blames us for coming in through the emergency exit. Like, it was just open and on the street and that's the emergency exit. There was no sign, no indication, nothing and she gets mad at us. She escorts my friend out, which was weird and embarrassing. Once again she scolds me for not coming in the front door. Like how the heck am I supposed to know!!!!! Ugh!!! Will...
