Piko Restaurant was an incredible find! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was welcoming and cozy—the perfect spot for a relaxed yet memorable breakfast. The menu is packed with delicious Mexican-inspired dishes, and every bite we had was full of bold, fresh flavors.
Let’s start with the coffee—because wow, it was exceptional. Rich, smooth, and just the right strength, it was easily some of the best I’ve had at any restaurant. But the real showstopper? The breakfast burrito! I’ve tried plenty across Salt Lake City, and this one stands at the top. Stuffed with high-quality ingredients, perfectly seasoned, and wrapped in a tender tortilla, it was absolute perfection. I’d come back to Piko just for this burrito alone!
What made the experience even better was the outstanding service. The staff was so friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. A special shout-out to our server, Kelsey—she was amazing! Attentive, warm, and genuinely great at her job. Everyone should ask for her as she was amazing, if I ever opened a restaurant, I’d want a whole team of Kelseys. Her service truly elevated the meal.
Between the incredible food, top-tier coffee, and wonderful hospitality, Piko has become a new favorite. We’ll absolutely be back—and next time, I’m...
Read moreIn a neighborhood full of trashy fast food, we were so happy to see this place open. We have eaten here frequently since their November opening, and have never been disappointed. The menu is smallish, but has great options for vegetarians, and can easily accommodate gluten and dairy free diets. The food is always fresh and delicious, and they have options ranging from luxurious (a 65$ steak) to affordable (a generous "rice and beans" lunch bowl that comes loaded with guac, the protein of your choice—I got the lamb birria and they were not stingy with it—and vegetables, for 10$). Fantastic cocktails, gorgeous steak and eggs at brunch, and a nice patio when weather allows. The tall tables by the windows desperately need hooks—there is nowhere to put or hang a bag or hat (that is honestly my only "serious" complaint). Service is earnest and friendly and everyone wants to make sure you have a great experience. They make their salsas (I think there are 9 varieties!) in-house. They are working out some minor technical bugs (I've been told a few times that there will be a wait for this or that, though I've never actually waited long for anything), but this is quickly becoming my favorite...
Read moreToday was the grand opening of Piko, since I live in the area I saw the construction and wondered what it would be. I dined in for dinner with my family and we got free horchata which was really nice, it was a high quality horchata 5/5 for it. It’s definitely a pricier spot but it’s worth it. The dishes were served hot and fresh and in a timely manner. I got the cheese fondue with Chorizo and house chips, 5/5 for those! The Posole verde while delicious was not like a traditional Posole I was hoping for. The broth was not really a broth but more thick and reminiscent of a salsa. My only critique would be to loosen that sauce up a bit. My family got enchiladas and loved them. The dessert was churros and Aztec pudding, both 5/5, not too sweet and were fresh and delicious. Overall I really enjoyed the atmosphere and dishes, but the best part was definitely the service, our waiter and hostess were very polite and professional and made sure we had the best experience!!! I will be returning and introducing this place to my friends and...
