Exceptional Dining Experience at Settebello Pizza, Salt Lake City
As the owner of Local Food Walking Tours, my guests and I had the pleasure of dining at Settebello Pizza in downtown Salt Lake City, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for an unforgettable evening.
Our server, Charlie, was the epitome of outstanding customer service. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to accommodate the dietary restrictions of my guest, who required vegetarian and gluten-free options. Charlie's knowledge of the menu and his thoughtful recommendations ensured that everyone at our table was delighted with their meal choices.
The gluten-free pizza options were some of the best we've ever tasted, and the vegetarian selections were both creative and satisfying, proving that Settebello Pizza truly cares about providing a diverse and inclusive dining experience.
Local Food Walking Tours is all about uncovering the gems of Salt Lake City's culinary scene, and Settebello Pizza is a shining example of the love and dedication that local establishments pour into their craft. We appreciate the exceptional service and the delicious cuisine that made our visit memorable.

Read moreVisiting SLC and this place popped up with great reviews. Came in on a Sunday evening about 6:30pm. Not too busy and was sat really quickly by a hostess that didn't say 2 words to us. Not a hi, welcome, how are you...simply nothing. She also sat us at a table that hadn't been wiped down. We had to ask the busboy next to us to clean it. He didn't say a word, just wiped and left. Again it was not busy. We waited about 10 mins for our waitress and she was a joy...(sarcasm). We were literally about to leave when she showed up. She'd walked by our section multiple times before stopping by. Asked us what we wanted to drink...she did say hi with a giant scowl on her face. She looked like we were a giant pain in her side. So we ordered a couple pizzas and a salad. She brought our bottles of beer out with pint glasses. Slid them on the table and said she'd be back with waters. Food runner brought our salad but we needed plates. Had to ask. And then our waitress still doesn't bring waters. Then our pizzas came...really didn't wait very long and was looking forward to tasting them. Pizzas were ...meh. Not horrible, but not great and d we definitely not worth 18.00 for each 12" pizza. Oh and they weren't cut worth a darn. Had to pull apart the pizza because slices were partially cut. Some slices not at all. She finally delivered the water because another couple had been sat and she brought them water before us. We interacted with about 4 employees and they shared about 10 words collectively. Also our pizzas were almost wafer thin - which isn't horrible, but I had maybe a tbsp of sausage on my sausage pizza. My wife had like 3 basil leaves on her Margherita pizza. Now I can understand someone having a bad day, but they were all the same so that tells me management allows this. The good thing is I don't live here and don't ever have to eat here again. Some of the worst customer service I've encountered in...
Read moreSay ciao to the best Neapolitan pizza in Utah. Can't afford a plane ticket to Italy? Fuhgeddaboudit! 🤌 Settebello provides the authentic dining experience without Vesuvius looming ominously in the background (we aren't forgetting about Pompeii, Vesuvius!).
Let cousin Dalton give you the famiglia specials to set you up for success. Get the Margherita DOC and add meatballs to it. No, you won't find it on the menu, but your server will hook you up. If you've never had a Caprese salad, stop depriving yourself. Make sure to get a good drizzle of oil and balsamic vinegar on it. The Bruschetta Crostini is a great appetizer, as are the Bacon Wrapped Dates or Meatball appetizer. Settebello is the only place I've ever enjoyed eating a date (the fruit... don't make this dark). If after all that food you've managed to save room for dessert, the Nutella Pizza with strawberries and bananas is unlike anything you've ever had. If you're a lightweight, there's no shame in getting some gelato. The small is perfect for solo eating, and medium/large are great if you're sharing. You can't go wrong with any of the flavors, but the pistachio is a sleeper hit.
The service has never been anything but superb. Matt has been my favorite server (bro is a Settebello legend at this point), but Jeremy and Haley also provide 5-star service. There's parking in the back, but it's tight spots so don't park/drive like a coglione (idiot). You can validate your parking inside, just make sure to have your license plate memorized.
Settebello has been a long-time family favorite, and I've yet to meet anyone who didn't love their experience. In many ways, Settebello is one of the rights of passage to be considered a Utah foodie. I love this place and will continue to be a...
