Read moreThis review is about he art installation outside of the center: I was surprised by how cool was the concept behind this piece was. A series of signs that vary from street warning, to book names or popular phrases were situated in a very specific position and some were partially or completely coloured in red. When you stood right in front of it, on a very specific angle, you got to read a message: YOU ARE HERE.
This spot was located on the sidewalk in front of the "Calvin L. Rampton Salt Palace Convention Center", I later learned that the installation is called “Point of View,” and that it was made by Maine artist Aaron T Stephan following the idea of creating something “designed to become the place to have one’s picture taken in Salt Lake City. Portions of some of the signs serve to create a large, red logo that says “You Are Here.” The logo points to a red bench on...
Read moreThis review is for the Salt Palace's parking garage specifically, because it was so bad that I want to warn people.

We offered both a credit card and cash, and she snatched the credit card and tapped it for us without telling us that cards are $20 instead of the $10 cash price. We asked to cancel the transaction so we could pay with cash, but she aggressively refused. This was manipulative on her part, and makes me think that either the parent company is pushing cash only so that they don't have to report their proceeds on taxes, OR she was stealing some of the cash herself.
I've reached out to the parent company to resolve this, but I would NOT park in this garage when City Creek's parking is right next door and is perfectly honest! Deceptive and sketchy garage...
