That was amaze-balls!!! Not kidding... that was top-shelf Mexican, seafood at that, and for cheap! Had the Baja Combo: 4 grilled prawns, grilled mahi-mahi. And TWO real crabmeat Enchiladas covered with lobster crema. Oh, and at least a whole champagne mango, diced on the side. Prawns were perfect in texture, flavor, and were good-sized. Mahi was BIG: must've been 6 ounces, seared, spiced... đ€. The enchiladas... i don't know how they can serve this meal for 20 bucks, and still keep the doors open. Those enchiladas were stuffed with real crab, covered with crab and cheese, and then the lobster crema. And this is downtown in SLC. A 'nice place' downtown could charge $50 for what i just had... for $20 and change, tax included. Damn right i left a good tip!
I can usually finish the plate, no matter the meal, but i could not contend with the portions: i had to save back the (very-nicely seasoned and perfectly moist) Spanish rice, for a little later tonight.
Ten-outta-Ten! Not sure what else i can add. I worked restaurants, every position from host to chef to manager: these folks CARE about their customers and their reputation. It's right there in the food, and the friendly staff. :) (I gave half marks on atmosphere, but there's nothing wrong with it: I'm a 'quiet table' kinda guy, and this place is 'festive'. That's all.)
Can't wait to try their carne, or carnitas... from one dish, I imagine the whole menu...

I checked it and it was beans and rice, not the carne asada fries I had ordered. She said if I come back they would fix it and throw in some tacos. I go back and they give me the new meal. There's no tacos, no double portion of carne I had asked for, and no pick de gallo. They upcharged me for all this as well. The carne asada fries were a small portion for 24 dollars after tax and tip. It was nearly 30 with...
Read moreI try to be an honest consumer. Right off, the menu is very large and off-putting, with pasta dishes and hamburgers. We noticed there were cleaning products left on tables. It was a strange vibe but we were hopeful. However, my quesadillaâs were small and barely had any cheese, and the beans and rice tasted typical; watery and salty, probably pre-made by a food company. Nothing personal to the staff or owner(s), but it is apparent that this place lacks authenticity, and I am sad to see another restaurant open that does not present passion for fresh ingredients with...
