I dropped by Blanco CafĂ© on Commerce Street in San Antonio one mellow Wednesday afternoon around 1:15 PM. The place was calm, no rush or crowd, and we were greeted and seated faster than you can say "enchiladas." Menus in hand, drinks on the way, it was a smooth start. I went for the cheese enchiladas topped with beef fajita meat, plus the classic duo of refried beans and rice. When the food arrived, it was piping hot and ready to impress. The enchiladas were cheesy, the beef was flavorful, and the plate overall hit the Tex-Mex comfort zone just right. Now, here's the twist, no chips and salsa! We asked, but they just didn’t offer it. A little surprising for a Tex-Mex spot, and honestly, a side of salsa might’ve turned “good” into “great.” Still, Blanco CafĂ© served up a solid, no-frills lunch in a relaxed setting. Just be prepared to bring your own salsa spirit! đŸŒźđŸ”„

I ran into this restaurant while I was walking looking for a Mexican restaurant. As I entered the restaurant, I notice they were already cleaning up to close the restaurant which was at 3 PM and I was there about 245 Ish. I was welcome to the restaurant nonetheless and I asked if they were closed and they responded by saying no and they prepared me my one taco and the lady there named Maria was nice enough to have a conversation with me and my taco was delicious as you see on the picture they took their time and still made a great product. I wish all the restaurants will follow this since most when they're closing they just don't want to assist you any longer. Great job Blanco Cafe for having a great staff!

I love Blanco cafe ❀. It's nice to have them back again in downtown SA. One of the workers is even back from the old downtown location which is really cool. I ate lunch the first day they opened and had a delicious bowl of caldo de res. The service and atmosphere were on point. The last few days I have also stopped by for breakfast tacos (bacon and egg, carne guisada and barbecoa). Everything has been perfect. If you are in the downtown area I highly recommend you stopping by. They have the best Tex Mex food in all of downtown. I have edited this review since my first one to add more pictures of awesome food from here. (Enchilada plate. Carne Guisada plate)
