Upon my arrival, I was sat at a booth in the bar area. Looking forward to a drink to unwind, I witnessed the manager being very rude and so disrespectful to his customers. They were a couple. The manager was so loud that I clearly knew what was going on. Seems like the steak that the gentleman ordered was over cooked and dry. Wife says, I'll just keep it , manager begins to drill them, so is there a problem or not, ... (without going into details) the manager embarrassed them by taking down to them In a loud and Obnoxious manner. I myself wanted to hide under the table. When I was about to speak up to the manager and express my thoughts on his behavior he walked away with a huge attitude. I told the couple, I am sorry that he treated you that way. It was very uncalled for. I hope they report him.
In addition to that incident, a lady behind me had 4 kids. She obviously had grabbed those small mini tabel computers where u have the ability to order food and pay your bill. A waitress approach my table with 2 or 3 deserts in her hands... asked me if I ordered them, I said NO ma'am. It appears that the kids playing with those mini table computers accidentally ordered them. Same rude manager comes out. Pist! Snatched the mini computers out of the little kids hands and says out LOUD, THIS IS NOT A TOY. Tells the mom rudely , You're kid's order this and you will have to pay for it. She apologized and said I did not realize they did that but I don't mind paying for it. By the time she was able to express herself, he gave the desserts back to the waitress and had her just taken back to the kitchen. The mother said I will pay for the desserts, sir. By this time he shut her off. And was trying to reprogram the mini computers the kids were playing with and place them back on the appropriate tables they should have been on. He walks away in anger .
I'm sitting down and in disbelieve of the first situation, i now witnessed his behavior on how he handled the second situation, which was right behind me .
Now moving forward to my experience.... I invited my staff to have a drink an appetizers with me. I was ready to call them and cancel and reroute ourselves to a different restaurant... But I thought we are just having drinks and appetizers, so it should be okay. I ordered the first round of drinks of painkillers, and One appetizer. I inform the female experienced waitress that I wanted one more round of painkillers And closed the bill so I can pay out. She was training another person at the same time so we had 2 servers.
Now I don't know about many of you, but I have a very bad habit of not looking over the bill..... With that being said the gentleman waiter in training hands me the bill. And I instantly gave him the credit card and gave it right back. I signed off on it. Put a tip on it And call it a day, said "bye" to my staff as my expectations of the experience I was looking for was not to at all what I got. On the contrary, the manager gave me severe anxiety, and it took me into a different mood.
Upon my arrival at home, I pulled out my phone, and the receipt fell out. I looked at it and noticed I was ONLY charged for 3 painkillers. I immediately called my staff, who was still there, finishing up the drinks I ordered for them. I told them that the waitress did not put those drinks on my tab. And to add it to a separate bill which I would reimburse them. Turns out the waitress was trying to make me out to look like I intentionally left without paying. Of course, my staff knows me differently than that and sat there and defended my honor. How dare the waitress tries to pin her mistake on me? When I clearly expressed to her what It was I was paying for.. I am completely disgusted with that particular waitress and the manager that worked on that friday March 8th. 2024 At around 5pm. The female with sort of curly like freezy hair waitress worked the bar area and was training a nice young man. Manager was a rude chunky Hispanic man. I hope...
Read moreMy husband and I went to this Cheddar's location today @ 13:34:40, the check # 20430. This is what we ordered: (1) Lemonade (1) Iced Tea (1) Bacon Cheese Burger (w/ Extra Crispy Bacon, No Onions (Allergic), & No Lettuce), and with Fries. (1) Herb Rosted Chicken (w/ Loaded Baked Potato & a Baked Potato with just butter) (1) Hot Fudge Cake Sundae (To Go)
Well, the burger came to the table and the Bacon was half cooked on one side and other side of the burger was raw. So, we sent it back and the cook made another one and this time, he put lettuce in it and also the bacon again wasn't crispy enough to eat. My husband indicated to "Jazlene R," that he wanted his bacon extra crispy and no lettuce and it was cooked incorrectly for the second time too. So, my husband just said to cancel the order and that he wasn't going to eat. He just wanted his Hot Fudge Cake Sundae to go.
We then asked for a military discount and Jazlene R. said "We Don't Believe In That!!!". This made me mad right away as may husband is a "Retired-Veteran from the U.S. Air Force and he served to for 21 years and for Jazlene R. to say that "We Don't Believe In That!", that made me feel that she didn't really care about the Veterans or Retired Military and how she included the whole restaurant as to not believing in this discount of I guess 10%. My husband was mad about her comment about the military that "She and/or Chedder's don't believe in a Military Discount. We are a proud military family and with her non-knowledge of the military and what it entails and the decency to say something like that right in-front of a Retired Veteran was just not correct. We would understand if she said "I'm Sorry, but, we don't do that discount here." We would have understood that to be ok. But, with her saying "We Don't Believe In That!!!" Within this state of having 3-4 military bases and military persons, this is why with regards to the comment from Jazlene R., has initiated me to write this review about this restaurant. Jazlene R. also said that when she asked us to do the survey on the tablet and to give her good stars. We gave her 5 stars but, I'm now thinking that I shouldn't have done that with the comment she made about the military. Jazlene R. needs to be taught how to talk to the people of the military and also she's very soft spoken that we had to ask a few times for her talk a little louder.
I was just made that she said that and it was so rude about it. It's not our fault that the Burger was messed up twice and that my husband wasn't happy with the two times it was made. Apparently, the cook isn't paying attention to the ticket that was done regarding this burger.
Jazlene R. also boasted about this Cheddar's location as being the best from the other Cheddar's locations. It's kinda weird that this location has only been open for the past 3-6 months and for someone to say that they are the "BEST" ever. That's too much to say about only being open for less than 6 months. She was also putting her Manager down for saying that he's going to be mad on what she would tell him about what we said about other cheddar's restaurants being better than this location. I can understand that she can be mad, but it's not right to throw everyone or a manager under the bus for something as much of a comment from a customer.
I don't know if we will be going back to this location again.
Basically, it said it all as soon as Jazlene R. said "We don't believe in that!", meaning she doesn't believe in a military discount and she could've said it better than putting the...
Read moreSeating was quick on a busy Saturday afternoon. All workers encountered were friendly and attentive with the server frequently checking in and topping off drinks. He also offered extra lemon slices for the drinking water without being asked. Part way through the visit, a manager came to the table for a check in. The interior is a throwback to the 1970s-1980s era of dark wood walls and gold plated metal fixtures.
The ribs and shrimp combo was ordered with fries and slaw for the sides. Cheddars has a word of mouth reputation for large portions of food for a reasonable price; this meal proved this to be true.
The ribs were Very Good: wonderfully meaty, fall-of-the-bone tender but not so tender as to create an impression of being baked or boiled. The rack was heavily doused in meat sauce, but this sauce was sticky and clung to the meat rather than being a drenching sauce that drowned the meat. The flavor was savory but with a slight hint of some type of sweetener (honey/molasses/brown sugar). The smoky flavor was more of a hint than an established fact. The beer battered shrimp featured a crispy, crunchy coating and plump, moist shrimp, earning them an Excellent quality rating. The coleslaw was creamy without being overly soupy, and its quality was Very Good. This slaw was a good balance of sweet and very slightly salty. The fries were a disappointment - cool temperature and a slightly tough, chewy consistency, and their quality was Fair.
Four and a half stars for an average but pleasant enough lunch at Cheddars...
