Club Giraud — Restaurant in San Antonio

We were a 30+ group of women for dinner. Two stars for service because they did not prepare enough meals. One woman at our table was not served a meal. When the staff finally realized it, they told her it would be right out. Probably was about 15 minutes later - it was a very uncomfortable situation for her and the others at our table! Salad was nothing special. Chicken & mushrooms was very salty. Hoping to make it less so, i removed the sauce and batter. After that, the chicken was so salty it was impossible to eat. The Alfredo noodles & mixed veggies were ok. For dessert, there was carrot cake and chocolate cake. We weren't asked which one we wanted, the waiter just randomly placed them. Downtown San Antonio Club Giraud is a favored location for members and guests. Our Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Alamo Mission Chapter, held DRT AMC meeting and luncheon here. The delicious course of salads, entrees, desserts and beverages were beautifully prepared and brought to us and set before us on tables prepared with fine linens, cloth napkins, dish and drink settings.
