Honestly everything and everyone was so cheerfully. It's not the park's fault, but I rated a 4 due to an incident from a older guy at corner by crosswalk.. . I didn't even mean to acknowledge him really, but I was taking my 5 year old and myself to explore and find the tree as I read, "HEB went on a special hunt for a Christmas tree in Michigan." I'm not sure where the article was I read, besides on my phone, but after I was told about Travis Park and the ice ring from a young couple I helped out with their stranded car on their way to the gas station. It almost made it, but it didn't quite make it . I was just out for my morning job, or at least it would of been way back in my younger days, and before car accident, and then Prego with my daughter at the age of 36, and I seen them begin to walk from their vehicle, gas can in hand on a slightly rainy day..

Well, this guy at the crossing decided to get in my personal space as I'm directing my daughter and I across the street. I mean he got in my ear.. I'm not sure what he was thinking, but I believe the fact that a police vehicle was park on the street at this time, probably prevented me from really hurting this guy. I just managed to stay focus, and got us both safely across the street. Thank God. Now I do have to admit, I was wrong for not paying for parking. I didn't have much money to spare that week, and I was honest with my daughter and told her, I'm not paying for parking just to walk around one lap and observe. . She understood, and actually listened to me with just about all my instructions when taking her out in public.. you see, I'm originally from the country and big city life is quite different. But it did teach me to be better prepared, and I had a wonderful adventure with my dear little one. Thank you HEB and all the others who helped in any kind of way. For this arrangement of the tree and icerink is very special to me, for it is the last kind of Christmas outting I had with my belated sister before...

This park offers more than simply a walking trail. Oftentimes, there are free community events such as movie in the park, temporary art installations on display, It's centralized location is conveniently 5 minutes or less 10 Riverwalk or Alamo Plaza access. It's an ideal park to have a picnic in, enjoy time with your dog because it has a small dog park as well, or just spend a leisurely, quiet time at one of its many benches or tables in the middle of the Plaza that offers much shaded area and is safe due to 24 hour police/or security supervision. FYI, if you can afford it, you may even privately reserve this park from the city private events, for example, a grandiose birthday party for your children! I only express this because I literally witnessed an extravagant 40s style carnival with rides, animals, entertainers, etc. whilst observing an extraordinarily abundance of adults wearing fur coats and tuxedos walking about while children in elaborate outfits enjoyed a private engagement. The park was not accessible at this time though police security surrounding all four corners as well as offering no parking during the private event anywhere along the sides of the part where there are usually signs that offer metered or free parking depending on the...

Terrible line management. We walked up to pay, they just switched from 2 open aisles to one because there were only three customers paying,, and I'm #3. FINE.

Of course the first customer is slow and has trouble with the card reader. A line of 4 more people forms. They open a new register...and ask customer # 4 to go to the new aisle.

People quickly follow into new aisle. I am still # 3 of 5 in the old aisle....the new aisle is now 4 deep.

My aisle, the 1st customer finally finishes. Customer #2 has limited English skills and has an item that they cant scan. An associate goes off to retrieve the item or find the price, or something. The other aisle is flying through customers until it is now fairly empty.

The associate returns and a comedy of errors ensues as 4 people discuss how to price an item that UPC wont scan. I am finally next in line, after 11 minutes of waiting.

My transaction is quick...here is the card and cash ready...done in 2 minutes.

No sorry for the wait.

No thank you.

No putting the slow customer off to the side until they retrieved her item.

What a terrible, terrible example of...

For a small park it is pleasant. I enjoy spending a little time at this park once in awhile. There're are no actual activities like exercise courses, hiking, etc. This is a small urban park that encompasses approximately one small square block. However, there are frequently programs put on by the city or various groups that make this park even more enjoyable. There is busy foot traffic at the park as half of its perimeters serve as city bus connectors to several of the Via Bus lines that run through the downtown area. A convenient place by the way to connect to almost any part of the city by catching the numerous lines that pass through the park area. This park is also a nice place to pass a leisurely lunch period or break period of you do work close to it in the downtown area.

What could be more fitting for a little girls birthday wish and Frozen 2, roar?: an exciting magical experience. An intended trip to the skating rink to celebrate my daughters' 7th birthday wish. Nevertheless, she's never skated and I was not feeling intrigued. So, after she had a hard fall, I asked for help. What I got in return was something unexpected. Mr. Matt, the person in charge, came out listened to me. All awhile strategizing. Wouldn't you know it! Mr. Matt, made a very kind gesture and took the time to skate with my daughter to help realize a birthday girls wish come true. While focusing on connecting. Thank you

Hi, Y'All... This Park is a perfectly located resting spot for your tired body (& feet). Take a break from using a rented "Razor" or Bike (found ready to use on downtown streets) to casually zip around Downtown. This Park is located a short 11 minute walk (strolling-speed) from the RiverWalk (-See my review of it).. This green-spot shows off nice green grass, trees & is very clean. A 1 block-sized park with some benches.. view of across the st. Buildings though. Enjoy your rest! Then check out tge rest of Downtown San Anonio.. here's some photos of the area, gorgeous, memorable!
