For a small park it is pleasant. I enjoy spending a little time at this park once in awhile. There're are no actual activities like exercise courses, hiking, etc. This is a small urban park that encompasses approximately one small square block. However, there are frequently programs put on by the city or various groups that make this park even more enjoyable. There is busy foot traffic at the park as half of its perimeters serve as city bus connectors to several of the Via Bus lines that run through the downtown area. A convenient place by the way to connect to almost any part of the city by catching the numerous lines that pass through the park area. This park is also a nice place to pass a leisurely lunch period or break period of you do work close to it in the downtown area.

Hi, Y'All... This Park is a perfectly located resting spot for your tired body (& feet). Take a break from using a rented "Razor" or Bike (found ready to use on downtown streets) to casually zip around Downtown. This Park is located a short 11 minute walk (strolling-speed) from the RiverWalk (-See my review of it).. This green-spot shows off nice green grass, trees & is very clean. A 1 block-sized park with some benches.. view of across the st. Buildings though. Enjoy your rest! Then check out tge rest of Downtown San Anonio.. here's some photos of the area, gorgeous, memorable!

They used to do a whole lot of cool events here and they had a crossfit group that would do workouts in the park. Now its just a homeless hangout. There's usually trash around on the ground and its kinda sketchy now even during the day. Its unfortunate because the was such a great park right across from the St. Anthony. This is where they have the San Antonio Christmas tree now. There is pay for parking around the park but the city regularly covers the meters and blocks people from parking there. Not sure why. Hopefully the Jazz Fest will bring some life back into this beautiful park.

This place was the anchor for this most recent road trip...35th Jazz'SAlive...2 days of end of summer fun...listening to good music...sampling the sidewalk fare...food and items of clothing and jewelry...meeting strangers and enjoying their company...my lil guy met his as well and had many admirers ...a big shout out to Kelli, a parks and rec member that held on to my phone and started sending out scouts to find me...and also to Hakeem...a brother from another mother

Beautiful park. Open space. Very well kept. It is basically a small plot of greenspace. Especially sacred for veterans. Great place to take the dog to play or bring the family for a picnic. People here seem to be very respectful of the park. No loud music or obnoxious party people. Very close to the downtown area. Great place to relax and have lunch during a day of sightseeing. Went to this park during a veterans hike. Really enjoyed the vibe. Will go back!!!

I have visited and enjoyed Travis Park for decades. It has changed dramatically becoming more safe for locals and tourists alike with a cordoned doggy park area and space for pinics on the lawn, or the park's center with tables and chairs. The new appearance creates a feeling of being welcome. And I look forward to more decades of it hosting various events that my family and I can enjoy!
