My experience with this particular Jimmy Johnās location was a phenomenal one! Shane the manager at this location ensures that your orders are correct before arriving and arrive correctly. Along with that his team and him are kind and courteous and have been a great improvement to this location. I personally use this Jimmy John's location several times a year for UTHSCSA interview season for my residency and fellowship program as we love their lunch box offering for our candidates and this year I was skeptical about using this location as the past years I have used them they have become unfriendly, sending in accurate orders, etc but this year has changed in a big way due to Shane and his team! Every order I had during my fellowship interviews which resulted to 7 interview days for about 20 people came out exactly right and I couldnt of been more pleased and not only that I have never had a restaurant follow up with me to ensure our order was correct and the delivery/driver was kind and courteous. I really appreciate Shane and his team as interview season is already a very stressful time for everyone including me ensuring that everything goes off without an issues that now I know with Shane and his team that is one less worry I have to have. We have just had a baby and I left the hospital grounds to get food. I wasn't able to sit down to eat my sandwich for 2 hours after picking it up only to find that my sandwich had been made wrong with the things I had asked to leave off. I called and spoke to the manager and explained that my sandwich was wrong and now soggy from the Mayo I had asked Not to be on there. I also explained that I was back on hospital grounds and unable to come back. This was the first food I was going to eat in almost 24 hours and was extremely disappointed. The manager was very friendly and asked what hospital we were in and what room. This was all 20 minutes before they closed and he was more than helpful and apologetic and sent someone directly to our room with Not only a now correct sandwich but also some chips and a cookie. I believe the situation was handled very well and rectified perfectly. Thank you Jimmy John's for helping to make our stay here at the hospital as pleasant as it could be. During a time of inflation of gas prices I did not expect or think this fair to have wasted resources to visit this location just because they are procrastinating in changing their business hours. Can't imagine how many other consumers have experienced this. In my eyes the phenomenal service at my once favorite sandwich spot has been declining. There are so many other sandwich chains that make it hard to decipher but I have been a loyal customer. Also, as a past employee of Jimmy John's I know this was never their mission (provide bad customer service). A few weeks ago I vistied another Jimmy John's and waited literally 30 minutes for a cold sub, only 1 other person was ahead of me. They had their backs turned to me and only acknowledged once I was about to leave. They decided online orders were more important than their in house guests. They saw me but acted like I was not there. Even heard one employee saying "take care of those first she can wait" before I decided to depart.I did not complain or write a review then, but I am not liking the service...
