I was really excited to try this food because of the high ratings! I was even more excited when I saw all the Cooks were older ladies so I thought for sure this food is going to be amazing cuz they looked like they had tons of experience of making good Mexican food. The place is tiny and was super packed so I was sure we had stumbled upon a secret hidden gem! We ordered bean and cheese tacos, a carne guisada with cheese and an enchilada a la carte since they claimed on the menu board to be the best around. So first the bean and cheese taco… the beans had zero flavor and the cheese couldn’t even help save them. Even added salt and still blah. The enchilada was ok, I’ve had better but have also had worse so I’d give it a 5 out of 10. My husband said the carne guisada was ok but nothing memorable. I was sad about the tortillas too, the pictures people posted made it seem like they were soft and fluffy and amazing. They were definitely completely opposite of that. I am sorry if I offend any die hard fans of this place but do not trust all reviews, this place is not as amazing as it leads you to believe. Also TMI both of our stomachs were upset and we had to run to the restroom after this meal. I will never come back here again and would never recommend this...

My fiance and I recently picked up breakfast tacos from here and had a notably terrible experience. It took over 30 minutes for them to complete a to go order of basic breakfast tacos and and two crispy tacos. The tortilla on the breakfast tacos were tough and tasted old. The potatoes on my papas rancheras were undercooked and also tasted old, I ended up throwing my taco away, which I've NEVER done. We placed our order midmorning on a weekday, so I'm wondering if they just gave us old leftovers instead of making our food fresh since we placed our order after the breakfast rush and before the lunch rush.

I rarely right such a negative review, but the food was so bad, and the staff obviously cared so little about our experience that it was disrespectful. If we were eating in the restaurant, we would have sent back the food and asked for a refund. There's no excuse for service this bad, and even if this was just an "off day," I'd...

I’ve been coming to The Little Taco Factory for 35 years—three generations of my family have made this place a tradition, and for good reason. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with care. It’s one of the few places that still does it right.

The real standout? They use real crispy taco shells—none of that pre-packaged stuff. The shells have that perfect golden crunch that holds together from first bite to last, and the fillings are always spot-on. The beef is seasoned perfectly, the toppings are crisp, and the salsa brings everything together.

That said, I really hope they bring back their original salsa recipe—it had a bolder, more memorable flavor that we all loved. The current version is still good, but the original was something special.

After all these years, the food, service, and welcoming atmosphere keep us coming back. This place is more than just a taco spot—it’s part of our family’s story....

It’s tough to review breakfast tacos in San Antonio, because the average taco is so good here. Our usual breakfast tacos are either Garcia’s or Con Huevos, so we are a little spoiled. She had potato and egg tacos. They were the big loser, sadly. Eggs dry and overcooked, and residual taste of chorizo which did not work for her. I had a carne guisada, a chorizo and egg, and a bacon and egg. The tortillas were fluffy and nice, but the eggs were also overcooked. The bacon was brittle crispy, not my preference. The glaze on the carne guisada wasn’t great, oily and thick rather than savory and meaty. The coffee wasn’t bad and the salsas were good. The staff were friendly. Looks like a legit place, and it is, but between the overcooked eggs and the meat flavor on a veggie item, it was just average. We won’t be back. But if this place was in NYC? It would be 5-stars for sure. Just not in the breakfast taco capitol of the USA.
