Went to this restaurant for breakfast. While waiting for my wife's medical procedure down the street. Ordered the Huevos Ranchero, from the hard copy menu (no meat added) for $5.54. As I went to pay at the counter they charged me $6.45 instead. I brought it to the waitress/cashier's attention, and she just mumbled something and pointed to text at the top of the menu. Then she put the menu away and walked off. Sure did seem like the old "Bait & switch". But I guess it was my bad. I should've gone with my 1st instinct and gone next door to Viva! Cocina and patio. Where I've been before. Won't come here again.

For Mexican breakfast this is the place to go. Ordered the Huevos rancheros plate with a tostada with egg. Coffee was served piping hot with ample refills. The huevos rancheros were excellent. This dish came with diced potatoes, refried beans, and extra flour tortillas. Everything on the plate was delicious. The flour tortillas you could tell and taste were made in house and I used them to soak up the leftover sauce and egg. The tostada with egg was equally delicious. Service was great and the inside decor was very refreshing and relaxing while dining. Super great place for breakfast or brunch!

The food is good and the prices reasonable, and you can see that by the number of people eating here, it’s busy most of the time. However, they’re constantly short on servers. I also suspect the owners didn’t expect such success because at times the kitchen cannot keep up with the amount of orders and it takes a while to get your food. Many good dishes here, and mostly authentic Mexican flavors. Do not expect good coffee here, it’s usually weak and not fresh, you can tell that by the color and taste. Eat here for sure, just be aware of the wait, if you’re in a rush go through their drive-thru.

Horrible service mind you this is new years day so I'm taking into account how busy they were.. The gentlemen at the register was awesome put 2 tables together for my family and we sat down and the waitress came quick and took our drink order and promptly came back with our drinks and took our food order and from then on out it was horrible our food was basic plates egg taco bean and cheese tacos 4 enchilada plates we waited 40 minutes for our food to come and when it did the plates came out 2 at a time with about 3 to 4 minutes between each set of plates and when the last 2 plates came out I had to send one back because it was clearly microwaved to long to burn the enchiladas till they were hard on the out side of the plate so my plate got cold just waiting for them to fix my wifes plate they had said before all this they were waiting on my nephews egg taco .. he had already finished his other 2 tacos and I had to go up to the counter to get his last taco and if I had not taken the lids off my wife's and nephews cups and started to get up I'm sure I would have never got a refill horrible service and the only reason they got one star is because you have to put a star to put a review!!!!!!!! Well after reading the owners response I feel the need to mention there was a group of four gentle men that sat next to us and a couple that sat in the corner and both got there after us ordered after we already had our drinks and still got there food before we did also the restaurant next door was open along with 4 others we passed to get to yours the attempt to make it seem like busy was the reason if out of...

Last Nov. 2018, I escorted an elderly gentleman neighbor to the med-clinic across from el Regio Cafe's McCullough location in 78212/SA, TX. He asked me to buy our breakfast tacos from there. Hesitantly, I told him "I'm particular about Mexican food...", suggesting another restaurant 3-4 blocks North of el Regio. Fortunately, he insisted that he wanted his from el Regio, & I go to my loc. if I really wanted. Thank Good GOD I ordered all 3-tacos from el Regio!!!!! I was hooked like a giant 🐟 as soon as I bit into my po&egg on Homemade Flour Tortillas!!!!! I've been going back, trying/sampling other menu items (chorizo & egg
