We always order pizzas at work for Halloween to eat after we close (we're a local business). My boss entered the order early with South Flo, then called immediately after she realized it was going to be delivered by Favor in 30 minutes but we weren't going to eat until around 4pm. She called right away (I heard the call) and they said they would hold it. A little while later she got an alert that the pizza was on the way (a little after 2pm), even after she called and spoke with two people telling them she would pick up our order at 4pm. They not only sent it early, they left it on the front porch where it was getting cold. When a call was made, the manager "claimed" the order couldn't be stopped because the pizzas (6 of them) were already ready when my boss called the first time. I have never heard of pizzas made in one minute, since that's about how long it took my boss to call after placing the order originally. I guess you could say the person she spoke to (apparently a manager) "lied." Anyway, the pizzas are now sitting in the back getting cold until we close. This is what we get for not ordering from Domino's like we normally do. This is not the first bad experience we've had with South Flo Pizza but...
ย ย ย Read moreI live by Central Market and eat there frequently so I know when HEB puts their mind to doing something good they often execute well. This was no exception. And that includes New York, however if you're looking for a crispy crust this is not the place. However the ingredients are top quality the flavor is on point and exceptional and the outer crust is flavorful and light. The reason why they can't get the crispy crust is because they put a lot ingredients on and the laws of physics and time state that that is diametrically opposed to crispy crust. I personally will take that sacrifice to have more delicious yumminess in a foldable pizza. And the price is very reasonable along with the beer.
Outdoor seating only makes this a hard pass during the hot summer. But in the late fall, winter & early spring when the temperature isn't sweltering hot this is a Hidden Gem with plenty of atmosphere. Not pretentious, just casual quality. I will return again and again as long as the...
ย ย ย Read moreLove the pizza and the HEB, haha.. but there's a dude who is very obviously irritated to deal with any customers. In fact it seems he is actively trying to deter you from placing orders at the kiosk. He was even arguing and blowing off another customer for another issue.
We went during a rush and had trouble placing an order at the kiosk, I got his attention and alerted him to the issue, makes eye contact and looks frustrated and totally ignores me. He then looks back to see if I go to the other longer line kiosk. When I go to the other kiosk, I wait out the line and he tells me the time to get the pizza is now 50 minutes, up from 25. "Like FIVE ZERO!" Visibly overwhelmed or frustrated.
Look, I get it... being overwhelmed and a massive line sucks man and I get you just want to go home. Maybe you need more help? However, ignoring issues, trying to get other people not to order, and being visibly irritated... it isn't a good look or time for anyone. Please do better. I'm...
