i came here on a friday night, surprisingly wasn’t busy. service was very good, and they were definitely a bit short staffed so the wait time was a bit long but nothing to get mad at. i ordered the 15 pc nuggets thinking they were gonna be pretty small and i was hungry but no!! they were huge and i was not able to finish them all. i got medium on these nuggets and they were very flavorful and matched really well with their house sauce. the fries were just incredible. their sauce EASILY beats out canes sauce, chick-fi-la sauce, dave’s sauce, literally any big chain chicken sauce. obviously their biggest comparison is going to be dave’s hot chicken which i love, and coming into this i did enjoy houston tx chicken much better! their chicken and fries were not greasy at all, and again the sauce is amazing. my wife got one of their milkshakes which i tried, it was okay! it’s the kind of milkshakes where it’s already kind of whipped ice cream and you just pour it in a cup. although, i truly believe if establishments just put in some extra bucks to make blended milkshakes in house they will have much better sales. their house lemonades are quite good, and it offers great outdoor seating. for the price i think for all the food you get with the nuggets, it’s reasonably priced. i would come...
Read moreI ordered the 2 Tender Meal from the kiosk. I chose the second hottest presented, which was Spicy - Habanero. The hottest presented was Liftoff - Scorpion.
I figured Liftoff - Scorpion would of been the same level spicy as the hottest at Hattie B's or Dave's Hot Chicken, which I can barely finish one piece and I have a high spice tolerance.
Someone after me asked for the hottest that they had and they told him that it was Houston We Have a Problem and you have to sign a waiver to get it. I was disappointed that Houston We Have a Problem wasn't offered on the kiosk and I actually ordered the third hottest flavor.
The Spicy - Habanero tasted good but I definitely would of gotten Liftoff - Scorpion.
I asked if I could have some of the pepper powder for the fries and would pay for it but I was told they can only put it on the chicken.
I offered the person that ordered Houston We Have a Problem a seat at my table. He gave me a piece of his chicken and it was extremely hot. My tongue was burning for a minute after I took a bite. I'm glad I didn't order it because I had to go to the convention center shortly after and wouldn't have been able to...
Read moreThey have a spicy challenge here! I ordered their hottest burger and they made me sign a liability waiver. My wife urged me not to partake upon seeing the waiver, but I was confident that I could beat their challenge. Well, I did beat the challenge and then asked them if I get anything for beating it, perhaps a cookie, and they said no. The lady did say that I was the second person to beat the challenge. 30 minutes after we left, I got the worst heartburn that lasted for 5 hours. I eventually took some antacids and it went away. I’m fine now, but I thought I should post my experience here so that everyone knows. Their liability waiver did not say anything about heartburn or adverse effects (though it is implied). I’m very good at handling spice and have beaten many of these spicy challenges, but I have never had such bad a heartburn and one that lasted so long. Fair warning before you take up the challenge! It also would have been nice to at least get a gold...
