Is it tasty, sure. However, it's hard to support this place. Below is the word on the block about how this place opened (I'm from SD).
Oscars had this exact location for years. The landlord kicked Oscars out of this space and let their friends take over and create this restaurant. La Ola Seafood copied EVERYTHING from Oscars. Down to the hot sauces, the way they package their food, and even pricing.
It's almost as if it was started by someone who worked for Oscars.
How this place is not in a major lawsuit by the original Oscars is beyond me. Especially because they are opening another attachment to this restaurant right next door that is literally also called Oscars LOL. I mean holy moly. That's pretty blatant.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe walked in the first time here during 3 days vacation in San Diego by chance as it was late in the evening when we arrived and was one of the few options that we still hade to eat. It was the best that could happen, because the food was amazing š. From the free fish/clam soup till the best octopus taco that I ever had ( and I am a sea food and taco lover)the food was amazing. We choose several tacos and all of them were done to perfection. The staff there was super friendly, and food was served in very short time. We enjoyed so much that we had returned there for the second evening, something that we never do in our vacation as we always want to try something new. I the second evening we tried the new Taco el Chingon and was the perfect combination of sea food and veggie. For a food lover - a clear...

I ask if they had any Taco Tuesday Specials, which they did not, but quickly decided on two battered fish tacos and one battered shrimp taco to go. They told me they were newly opened four weeks ago and the interior was very clean and simple but orderly. The food came quickly before new customers came in while we continued talking. It was a very pleasant experience and though I gone there to order from Oscar's this business had taken over this site when Oscar's moved down to PB Business area further south off off Mission Blvd., I enjoyed this surprise as a near...
