DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! I recently had an absolutely AWFUL experience with SDVR, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment with potential customers. My friends and I had planned a long-awaited vacation, little did we know that our dream vacation would turn into a nightmare.

A few weeks before our scheduled arrival, we reached out with a questions and were THEN informed that our reservation had been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances. The lack of specificity in their explanation left us bewildered and frustrated. This last-minute cancellation put us in a difficult position, scrambling to find alternative accommodations in a limited time frame.

To make matters worse, when we reached out to SDVR it was nearly impossible to get the "manager" on the phone for assistance or even a reasonable explanation, we were met with lying and little effort to help. Their customer service was shockingly unhelpful, showing no empathy or understanding of the inconvenience they had caused us. It was as if our concerns fell on deaf ears.

In addition to the cancellation, SDVR failed to offer any viable solutions or alternative options for rebooking. We were left to navigate the situation on our own, desperately searching for a new place to stay. This lack of support and accountability demonstrated a complete disregard for customer satisfaction.

I strongly advise anyone considering booking with SDVR to think twice. The lack of professionalism, coupled with their careless attitude towards customers, is unacceptable. A vacation is meant to be a stress-free and enjoyable experience, but our encounter with this TERRIBLE company turned it into a nightmare. Save yourself the trouble and frustration – look elsewhere for your vacation...

Perfect beachhouse - doesn't get better than this

I rented an amazing SDVR beachhouse, perfectly setup with 2 beautifully appointed and decorated bedrooms with high-quality king beds, a large open living room w kitchen and dining table and queen sofabed, an extremely comfortable balcony with seating & BBQ grill overlooking the boardwalk, and 2 stories of simply stunning ocean views. The huge windows and room design are optimal for the location, and you can't help but stare at the wide expanse of ocean right in front of you. What can I say -- it's hard to beat living in a place like this.

The property includes an outdoor shower, two parking spots (unusually good for this area) including 1-car garage for storage, ridiculously easy beach access (right in front of you), brand new HDTVs, high-performance wifi, amazing artwork nicely displayed everywhere, and the best quality in everything inside (leather couch, pebble stone floors, high-end kitchen, luxury showers). The beach is well patrolled by professional lifeguards, cleaned nightly, and full of interesting characters to watch. The management are real pros, nice people, and make a serious effort to keep the place immaculately clean and very well stocked.

The only downsides are the lightweight dust/sand that blows in from the beach and dusts the house floors every day; the impressively high-tech master shower, living room TV system, and fancy kitchen lighting require reading the instructions before mastering; and the quiet neighborhood means you can't play very loud music, have rowdy parties too late, or drink alcohol on the beach.

We ended up working with this company after connecting through a third party app (furnished finder). The owner of the rental we looked at chose to have them arrange everything, and it was not great from start to finish.

First off their application process is insane for a "vacation" rental, or even short term rental. Requiring a 4 page application for every adult, including background checks, credit checks, references, your bank account info (asked for account number and balances which just seemed intrusive for a short term rental), references, work phone numbers and more.

Then I sent over the paperwork and no responses were given about our paperwork. I called repeatedly and was told they would call me "right back", but never did.

Finally I got an email saying that the owner chose another tenant for the time frame, despite never saying that this was even a possibility, when me and my family were 30 minutes away from San Diego, leaving me my husband and my 6 month old with nowhere to stay.

Their email stated they would send a list of other available properties, and never heard back from them. They just left us high and dry, and didn't have the professionalism to even call me, only sent an email.

Run far away from this company unless you want to be left with nowhere to...
