Rum Jungle Cafe — Restaurant in San Diego

We come for the raw acaį. Haven't been able to find it anywhere else yet. It's so amazing! Unfortunately, the lady at the front was unprofessional, rude and haughty. She made my sister and I VERY uncomfortable, after she made our bowls wrong, then stomped towards us to look at the menu and repeated "they keep changing the menu on me." Which I don't believe is true because it was the same bowl I ordered last time? She proceeded to complain and slam things around while remaking our bowls, which were light on toppings and sloppily made. We were wondering if she was drunk just because of how unbelievable she acted. It was hot in there too, maybe fix the AC? I'll give this place one last try, but as other comments (from regulars) are saying, the quality is plummeting quick... Where is management? Reviews from a year ago mention a similar rude unprofessional lady, do they hire this type or is she the same worker? Either way, makes me question why management isn't making the necessary changes to keep the...

I'm back over 5 years later... and I am happy to report they are still as awesome as ever.

Delicious and fresh food, delectable drinks and treats, fantastic vibes and superb service. The service specifically is amazing - they're super attentive and pay attention to what taste or meal generally you're trying to accomplish. I ordered the Power Wrap (my favorite item on the menu - highly recommend) and asked for no turkey. The gentleman behind the counter knew exactly what I was trying to accomplish and offered a solution. That really impressed me and I truly appreciated it.

It's a great spot to chill and work too [though not if you're taking calls - they have (good) music on and the other patrons can be loud]. Definitely worth visiting in...

It’s a bummer how much the customer service affected my first time there! Woman working the register was not welcoming and didn’t seem like she wanted to be there. My friend ordered a white hot chocolate right after me and she went straight to the kitchen and did not come back for a long time. There was no one else in the room besides us. She clearly forgot to make his ordered drink. That prompted me to call out “excuse me” 4 times into the kitchen, I saw a gentleman on his phone in the kitchen who didn’t look up once, and finally the woman came back, no apology for forgetting my friend’s drink or the wait, and we waited that long only to have her make the WRONG drink.
