You have to try Local Krave! I usually drive past Local Krave early mornings after I leave 24 Hour Fitness across the street, but one day I got really Kurious when I saw the line out the door. The enticing aroma of freshly ground coffee and the entrancing smell of butter from the grilled breakfast sandwiches turned on a switch in my brain.
After a warm welcome from Quentin (owner), I ordered the Southern Comfort on a waffle bun with the white cracked pepper country gravy on the side for dipping. I also ordered a side of pesto - for dipping. Mmmm!!! This is a tasty and immensely satisfying breakfast! The sausage is QUALITY and is from Seisel’s (sister company of Iowa Meat Farms). Can’t get better than that. Quentin and Pete, you should be on the Food Network!
I also ordered a Mocha Kraveman. Kraveman style is coffee (or tea) with grass-fed butter, organic coconut oil, honey, and cream with organic cacao. I ordered mine without cream and iced - most people order it hot. This was the best mocha I’ve ever had. It was not overly sweet like most mochas. In fact, it wasn’t sweet at all. It was perfectly balanced. Thanks Shannon! You make them better than Starbucks!
Can’t wait to come back for lunch. Anticipating their move to a bigger location in The Californian apts on...

Swung by again after wrapping up another job this time with Bella Tactical riding shotgun as usual and got helped by Ekin. Super friendly, really personable, just an all-around cool girl. Made the whole interaction feel easy and genuine, which you don’t always get these days. Definitely enjoyed the good vibes. Appreciate you, Ekin!
Stopped by Local Krave in Midway/Point Loma after wrapping up a job and met my girlfriend there with our dog, Bella Tactical, of course. We were greeted by Landon, who was cool right off the bat and knew the menu like he made it himself. We both grabbed the chorizo burrito and a vanilla latte. Burritos? 10/10. The coffee? I’m not even joking might be the best I’ve ever had. Like, I’d fight someone over that last sip. Landon made it himself, so shoutout to him for being the barista MVP. He even hooked Bella up with a treat and gave her some love, which officially made him her new favorite human. The place has a chill vibe, good music, and good people. Definitely stopping by again whenever I’m in the area. Appreciate you, Landon...
Read moreThis is my favorite coffee shop to pop in before I start my work day. Their new location opened just around the corner from their previous location. I don't drink coffee, but I get their iced matcha tea all the time. They're known for this grass fed butter/organic coconut oil combination that they add to their drinks, which adds a rich, smooth, and nutty taste. So good!
They also have delicious açaí bowls, gluten free cupcakes that taste like they're 500+ calories (but all under 200), and scrumptious waffle sandwiches. The waffles, which you can get with both sweet and savory add ons, always come out light, pliant, and a little crispy on the edges.
Prices are a little on the steeper side, but I don't mind paying a little more to support a local business that delivers high quality food and exceptional customer service. They do charge additional fees for credit cards, so bring cash or get one of their gift cards that you can upload money on. The owner is extremely friendly and knows all his regular customers, like myself, on a...
