Los Dos Pedros #2 — Restaurant in San Diego

Zero stars. Experienced two mediocre episodes with Los Dos Pedros #2 today. Extremely dissatisfied and disappointing and more so after a terrible phone call interaction to inform the shop of the issues. I recommend you go elsewhere. My husband ordered a breakfast burrito of eggs, beans, cheese, and added avocado slices with two additional eggs. We paid the extra money for the extras that we asked for and we were off on our way as it was a take out order. Once the food was opened, he immediately noticed that it looked normal size although we had added extra items, but gave it the benefit of doubt. The first thing that happened biting into the burrito was the stale taste of the beans. Second, there were absolutely no extra eggs in this burrito, it was the standard size. We decided to open up the burrito after the first bite because the beans were so bad and that's where we noticed that there were no extra eggs and definitely no cheese either. I called the shop a bit later after this realization, and the phone was picked up by the woman that took the order earlier that evening. I informed her of the issue and and she did apologize about this. I told her I would like for our order to be refunded preferably, or perhaps be remade on a different night when the ingredients are fresher. She immediately responded that a refund is not something that they do but that I could come back for a remake that same night or the next day or speak to a manager. I told her that I would certainly prefer a refund and that I would like to speak to a manager not just about that, but about the quality of the food that is being served. She then proceeded to thank me for the call and rushed to hang up. But I quickly let her know that she had not even taken my information for anyone to call me back. How is anyone, let alone a manager going to call me back if she had not taken my information? Then she realized that I noticed she was just trying to hang up on me and told me that she'll get my number from the caller ID as it was recorded on there, and I told her that can't be because my call is private. I asked her to write down my phone number and then I asked her for her name and her manager's name so I can let the manager know who I spoke to and that I also know who will be calling me. She hesitated noticeably and did not give me her name, and also told me that she could not provide that information about who the manager is. I told her that I understood if she did not want to tell me her name. And I also told her that I was not upset at her, that I was just trying to talk to someone who does have the authority about our issue of the evening. I spoke to her in english and in spanish as I realized that there were people in the background talking to her and I was trying to be clear in what I was saying. I was in no way rude to this woman, but I was firm, and I believe that she took this the wrong way and personally, especially when I asked her for her name. Again, I just need to know who I spoke to so that if we did show up today or tomorrow for a remake of this food, I can tell them who I spoke to. She very obviously only wanted to get me off the phone as there was a period when I was talking that she went completely silent and I had to ask if she was still on the line as I thought for a moment that she had hung up on me. Her customer service was terrible, she lied and made a bad experience with the food an even worse one with the shop experience as now we never want to come back. It did not need to get to the level of me having to leave this extremely long review over a wrong order. I honestly don't expect anyone to call me back, and we will just not give Los Dos Pedros #2 our business again, I recommend you go down to La Perla instead, that's what we should have done...

This place is going to make me have trust issues 😭 Decided to bite the bullet since I didn’t see any reviews on a Lengua burrito. Bad choice! It was tasteless and bland. The only thing that gave it flavor was the onion and cilantro.

I made the mistake of looking at Los Doe Pedro’s on DoorDash and wanted to try the Lengua burrito based off of the AI description. I also looked on Google reviews to see if anyone has tried it, but didn’t see anything to figured I would take a chance. I had high hopes for this burrito since it was either this or the surf and turf. When I got home I was highly disappointed to see how shriveled and thin the burrito looked. To my surprise, there wasn’t rice or beans. Just meat, cilantro and onion. It tastes like a Lengua taco with a lot of extra tortilla.. Not much flavor so make sure to use hot sauce.

I would recommend to choose a place that does a Lengua burrito...

I’m really sorry to post this as I really don’t like leaving negative reviews, but we only went here because this place was so highly rated. The food was not good. Fortunately, it wasn’t terribly priced and the staff was friendly, but I was so underwhelmed by the food that I don’t want anyone else to be mislead by the reviews here. There was no spice whatsoever and every single one of the five dishes that my friends and I ordered was incredibly bland. The only dish that was half way decent was the quesadilla because it’s hard to mess up a bunch of melted cheese. Sadly, all most all of our food ended up getting thrown...
