Just kinda gross. Ordered the Korean fried chicken on the bone with dipping sauce. It came with unlabeled squeeze bottles of what tasted like sauces they just put on other things, none tasted good for chicken. Biting into the chicken itself was a nightmare. None of the three large pieces were identifiable parts of a chicken like you would get in a KFC bucket. It looked like someone took a cleaver to a chicken blindfolded. Over half of it was completely inedible fried gristle (the picture is what was LEFT. If I wasn’t at a big family dinner I would have refused to pay for it. The other food at the table was pretty mediocre. The carelessness of the pan-Asian decorations is laughable. In one picture I managed to capture a crappy, fake bonsai tree, a Thai Buddha head, a Chinese Taoist gong and two paintings designed by someone with no knowledge of the Japanese language using a translator app lazily (the “way of the Samurai isn’t 侍の道 it’s 武士道). Service was fine. The very existence of this restaurant is an affront to good taste, in both senses. I could only imagine going there if you were staying at the hotel next door. But even if you are, go somewhere else. If you want crappy Chinese food, save some money and door dash Panda Express.

My family and I are regular customers of PF Chang's, enjoying both dine-in and takeout experiences across various locations. However, our recent visit to the La Jolla Village, San Diego restaurant was unfortunately a significant letdown. We ordered our usual dishes: shrimp fried rice, honey chicken, and kids' orange chicken with fried rice. While my family's meals arrived without issue, the shrimp fried rice I received was concerning. The rice grains were excessively hard and dry, almost as if they were undercooked. When we brought this to the attention of our server, they promptly offered to remake the dish. However, the second serving was equally problematic, appearing excessively wet and soupy, almost as if it had been washed. Upon informing our server about this issue, we were told that both orders of rice were from the same batch. This seemed unlikely given that my family's rice was cooked correctly. The manager offered to remake the dish again, but at that point, our appetite had been completely diminished. We were disappointed with this experience, especially considering our consistent patronage of PF Chang's. We hope this feedback is taken seriously to improve the quality and consistency of your food preparation.

Absolutely phenomenal service from Chu at P.F. Chang’s! If you’re lucky enough to sit at the bar when Chu is working, you’re in for a treat. His drinks are crafted with precision, creativity, and that extra touch of flair that makes you feel like you’re at a five-star cocktail lounge. But what really sets Chu apart is his personality — warm, engaging, and genuinely passionate about making every guest feel welcome. Whether you want the perfect recommendation, a drink tailored exactly to your taste, or just a great conversation, Chu delivers every time. He’s the kind of bartender who remembers your name, your favorite drink, and makes you feel like family. P.F. Chang’s is already a great place, but Chu takes it to the next level. If you’re visiting, do yourself a favor and ask for Chu at the bar — you won’t regret it.

Where do I even begin to express my admiration for the exceptional service provided by Ethan at PF Chang's? He is the true embodiment of a server who goes above and beyond to make dining experiences memorable. While the restaurant itself may have its shortcomings, Ethan single-handedly turns it into a must-visit destination. From the moment we walked through the door, Ethan's warm and genuine smile set the tone for an incredible dining experience. His infectious enthusiasm and attention to detail were evident as he guided us through the menu, offering insightful recommendations tailored to our preferences. His passion for the cuisine and knowledge about the dishes were truly impressive. Ethan's exceptional ability to anticipate our needs was uncanny. He effortlessly anticipated when we needed a refill or an extra napkin, ensuring our comfort throughout the entire meal. His attentiveness was matched only by his remarkable efficiency, managing to attend to all of his tables with grace and poise. Despite being busy, he never made us feel rushed, taking the time to engage in friendly conversation and make us feel like valued guests. What truly sets Ethan apart is his genuine care for each and every customer. It's clear that he takes immense pride in his work, as he consistently went the extra mile to ensure our satisfaction. He attentively listened to any special requests or dietary restrictions, making sure our meals were prepared to perfection. Ethan's commitment to providing an exceptional experience extended beyond the confines of our table, as he checked in on us throughout the evening, ensuring our happiness. Ethan's ability to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere is simply unparalleled. His infectious positive energy and friendly demeanor lit up the restaurant, making us feel like we were among friends. He effortlessly struck the delicate balance between professionalism and creating a comfortable, relaxed environment, turning a mediocre dining experience into an extraordinary one. In an industry where genuine and remarkable service can be hard to come by, Ethan is a shining star that outshines the shortcomings of PF Chang's. His dedication, passion, and unwavering commitment to providing a memorable dining experience are truly commendable. It is solely due to Ethan's exceptional service that we continue to choose PF Chang's as our dining destination. To Ethan: You are the reason we come to PF Chang's. Your extraordinary service, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction are an inspiration. Thank you for transforming a lackluster restaurant experience into an unforgettable one. Your impact is immeasurable, and we eagerly await our next visit, knowing that we'll be in the capable hands of a true hospitality professional. To the management: Ethan is a gem that deserves recognition and appreciation for his outstanding service. Investing in employees like Ethan is an investment in the success and reputation of PF Chang's. Bravo! In conclusion, if you're looking for a memorable dining experience at PF Chang's, look no further than Ethan. His exceptional service, warm personality, and dedication to customer satisfaction elevate the entire dining experience. Request Ethan as your server, and prepare to be wowed. He truly is the best! November 2024 updates- The last 3 months I've been ordering to go food from this PF Changs location and had pretty good success with tasty warm meals. This is much improved over prior years and my original post below. There are many new additions to the menu as well as more vegetarian options. The staff has been very congenial and helpful and seemed to really enjoy their job there. I've updated my original three stars to five stars enjoy! Most P.F. Chang's locations tend to be reliably good with a nice variety of foods items and fairly good table service. However not this one. I first went to this location shortly after it opened and have continued to find it problematic. The meals and service I've experienced have always been in the unacceptable range. Here's the usual run down: 1. Wait 15 minutes to 1 1/2 hours for a table as they are usually very busy 2. Get your table but have trouble getting your servers attention to order anything 3 Get your order in but wait a long, long, long time to get it. Many times the food at the same table comes out at different times to different people-ugh. Or the meal comes out before the appetizer. Or the soup or side dish is completely forgotten. I have even gotten my drink after the meal was served. If you have any issues with your food or need something as simple as soy sauce don't expect to get it quickly or at all. 4 Try to flag down your server to get the bill because you're late for your next meeting. About a year after the last time I was there someone invariable convinces me to go back. I always have the same results-not good. For example I have had watered down soup- the Wonton Soup, very bitter and heavily salted items-Coconut Curry Vegetables, chewy overcooked nearly inedible shrimp-Crispy Honey Shrimp and Walnut Shrimp with Melon, and most soups with not much in them except a watery-soy sauce broth. Many times food is cold or room temperature, not hot. Poorly made entrees I think I can fix (like the curry dish) I bring home and doctor them up to eat the next day for lunch. Obviously this does not work with overcooked shrimp. The website is less than helpful with Happy Hour menu only having drinks and no food items listed. The noise level at this location is so loud talking to your dinner partner is nearly impossible. With tile flooring and glass surrounding most of the restaurant it makes it very reflective of sound. Parking has always been an issue for me here. I was told on my last visit that the valet is free and the hostess validates parking for the garage next door but have not confirmed either of these. I've frequently found the parking garage next to the restaurant -which is expensive-will be full or have a broken entry or exit gate. If you've read this far I will pass on my Feng Shui for the design of this P.F. Chang's. I am completely convinced that one of the main issues with this location is diners eat their meals looking at the rear ends of two giant concrete horses which stand on either corner of the building. Insider tips: If you have to go here for a meeting eat at the bar. Usually you'll still wait for an opening but not as long as a table. The bartenders are more attentive and faster than the regular table servers. Share a meal with someone else in case yours is bad. Ask the server what the best selling entree is and order...

Love PF Chang's but recommend diners skip this location. Poor management, understaffed, lots of deferred maintenance.

Each time we go for dinner there is always a line, but half the dining area is always empty. Enough tables, not enough employees. You'll end up waiting for a table and your server will be overworked. Our poor server at one point came to the table and was sweating. Make reservations ahead of time.

So they still make you scan a QR code and read the menu on your phone. Great idea except a physical menu is so much easier, especially for the elderly. Walked up to the hostess and waited for her to finish flirting with one of the employees who wanted to sit and drink at the bar. Asked her for paper menus and she handed me one. Asked for another and she seemed annoyed I had to interrupt her convo 2x for a paper menu. Then she went right back to speaking with the employee.

Food was ok the last time we went. Typically it's amazing, but most of the dished we got were meh at best. Shishitos were overcooked. Beef broccoli was overcooked.

Restaurant could use some TLC, especially the bathrooms which looked disgusting. For a place like PF Chang's, this is unacceptable. Dirty, old, fixtures broken, out of paper towels, etc.. This location has been around for a while, but no excuse to let things go like this. Poor management.

When you pay, you now have to scan another qr code and pay on your phone. So now instead of just handing the server two credit cards, the restaurant wants me to work to scan the QR code, pull up a website I've never heard of before, figure out how to split the bill, and enter in all the credit card information myself. You've taken one of the easiest things to do and made it more cumbersome. I'm all for technology when it makes things easier, but between the online menu and paying your own bill on your phone, PF Chang's use of technology is completely backwards. They're just shifting the work on to the paying customer.

No thanks, won't be returning to this location again until. Only saving grace was our server who was polite, helpful, and on top of things. Management needs to be replaced and decisions should be revisited. Why make things harder on...
